So, you remember how I told the story of the Asos floral coat last week? Well, it actually ends here. Which is to say that I bought this coat instead. Let me explain: This paneled swing coat is everything I want in a spring coat: it's light weight, making it an ideal layering piece and everyday-wearable. Plus, it's a sharp stand-in for a statement blazer. It also happens to channel Proenza Schouler (in fact, I got stopped twice at Barneys by people asking if it was Proenza!). Lastly, I simply couldn't resist it. The End...except I do still love that floral print coat.

I usually wear a size 6, but the 4 fits me. If I were planning to layer thick sweaters underneath, I would do the size 6.

I remember the post & went to the Asos website and just couldn't get into the floral coat . I wasn't confident that I could pull it off so chic. I did stumble upon this blue coat and thought it was awesome but afraid not as polished as the floral. now imagine my glee to see the blue coat given the Marlien stamp of approval ..kaching that's the sound of my Amex ordering xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

If normally take a size 2 in blazers..stay a 2 or size up? Ordering to Canada and would like to get it right. Will not be layering too much. Tx for help!

Just had to share this tidbit, though it is weeks after you posted this. I bought this jacket and tried to pass it off as Proenza to my sister when she declared it a "Fauxenza Fooler"! Now we both own one!
Just perusing some of your past posts and found this cute coat! I am just about to order it - it looks perfect for those what-to-wear days when its spring (or even summer?) but cold outside! I hope you're still loving it. :-)
