london eye

As prim and proper as London may seem, a wild print never looks out of place. That's certainly proving to be the case this week on the city's runways (Erdem, Peter Pilotto, Burberry, etc)--and on the streets, where the local and international rainbow warriors are maxing out on layers (and layers) of mixed patterns, colorful capes, chunky knits, vibrant lace and eccentric fur. Here are some of my favorite looks, along with some ways to execute this punchy style.

The floral lace hem on this Topshop skirt, above, is both edgy and feminine--just the way I like it.

Moda Operandi founder Lauren Santo Domingo opts for a languid lace skirt in the prettiest pale pink shade, tempering its frothiness with a Carven chunky patchwork knit sweater.

Leandra Medine kicks up her bluesy mood (love that Stella McCartney skirt!) with Etoile Isabel Marant leopard print sneakers

I'd love to carry around a plush faux fur bag like this--kind of like a pet, but it doesn't bark, and you don't have to feed it!

Hi Susie, the shoes are by Dolce Vita but from a past season. They're good ones!
