dear santa 2014

This year my youngest son was more excited than ever to give me his holiday wish list, above, because for the first time he could write (and illustrate!) it himself. While I'll leave all the toy requests to Santa's elves, I personally would like to fulfill his request for new "black, green and grey" socks, as I empathize with his desire for specific colored accessories! In fact, I have a few specific colored accessories on my own list, which is as follows:

1. Valentino studded sandals in Tan or Burgundy (I can't decide which color as they're both so good and versatile! Last year I bought myself a pair of Chanel sandals for Xmas, which I wore like crazy all last summer. Though it seems wrong to buy sandals now, it's actually wise because the best designer sandals always sell out before spring actually arrives!)

2. Rimowa carry-on in silver  (indestructible, utilitarian chic)

3. Jawbone Wireless Bluetooth speaker in white (for days and sunsets spent on the beach!)

4. An unapologetically decadent party dress such as this blingy Kate Spade, this sequined Alice & Olivia or this beaded Gucci

5. Resort-ready super chic caftans like this, this and this (all on sale!) for warm getaways this winter

6. Art like this framed cityscape photograph, this Picasso print, and a fashion-y illustration by Donald Robertson (all hung together, gallery-like, on a wall)

7. Monica Vinader rose gold diamond bracelet (so delicate, so beautiful!)

8. Eberjey pajamas: comfortable but cute, plus the top can be worn outside the bedroom

9. Plenty More: the long-anticipated vegetarian cook book follow-up to London chef Yotam Ottolenghi's Plenty

10. My biggest and most desired wish, however, is something no one can shop for: Good health for my family and friends! I wish you all the same!

as a former art teacher, i would never say 'is that your dog?' when in fact it's a cow. better
to say 'tell me about your drawing'

but ok, in the upper right, is that a shopping cart??

thanks for sharing this.
