I've been on the hunt for a pair of everyday pants that aren't jeans. Ones that are stylish, comfortable and everywhere-friendly. Like my favorite blues, they need to be exceedingly accommodating, able to be teamed with heels, flats and sneakers. In other words: impossibly versatile. Vogue editor Virgina Smith, above, photographed earlier this week in New York, offers up a solid solution: a pair of new and improved khakis. Unlike their dowdy predecessor, this version is cropped, with a modern relaxed fit. They're clearly cool enough to go to fashion shows but also practical for mundane errand-running. I like! I found these options from Mango (love!), Zara, and J.Crew.

Any idea who makes her pants?
Please tell us about her shoes!
The pants are by Dries Van Noten...love them too!
Do you know the brand of the khakis that she's wearing?
Marlien,
Should pants like these only be worn with a heel or can you pull off flats? Thanky you!
