Of all the Fall 2022 collections that have been unveiled in New York over the last few days, my hands-down favorite is by Brandon Maxwell. (Altuzarra, with its chic pea coats and stand-up shearling collars, comes in at a close second!) The reason is simple: Maxwell combines glamour with comfort. In the most uncontrived, easy-to-pull-off way. I want to wear my everyday jeans but dress them up with a knockout blazer, like above. Or whirl around in an evening-out dress--but still feel at-home cozy in a fisherman's sweater. Speaking of which I need to buy one (this, this or this) to start wearing immediately.
