Yesterday my friend and I decided to take advantage of the late afternoon sunshine and enjoy lunch outside at Croft Alley in Beverly Hills. The crisp fall air called something cozy, so we ordered extra crispy french fries and a hearty tuna melt to pair with our warm layers. Of course, being perpetually cold, I needed more than one--though all I had was a lightweight Tanya Taylor jacket (chic, but not exactly insulating). Meanwhile my friend stayed toasty in a Varley jacket, which I couldn't help but covet not only for the added warmth, but for its versatility. I could already picture myself wearing it to the gym, on the slopes, and, yes, for lunches in Beverly Hills! Caught in this cozy buttoned-up mindset, I couldn't resist an impulse buy: the Oncept pullover. It's not just a style statement but it's the perfect blend of comfort and practicality, and I already know it will become a staple in my wardrobe. Along with others: this distinctly cool jacquard-print J.Crew and this fleece Polo Ralph Lauren that emanates Aspen sweater-weather.
