new york minute

I had planned to be in New York today for fashion week, but, to say the least, unexpected events changed my course. Instead, I am tuning in from LA, ready to share what I'm liking--at a New York minute's pace!

1. As I reported earlier this week here, (faux) fur is flying everywhere, and it seems everyone, including Vogue editor Madeline Fass, above, is opting for plush pieces by Paris-based Nour Hammour. Meanwhile, Apparis has a ton of fluff for a lot less on sale--I want to work this faux alpaca peacoat!

2. Even with the first few Fall 2025 shows (Toteme, Brandon Maxwell, Lemaire), the black turtleneck remains everywhere. Consider it the winter equivalent of summer's white classic t-shirt. Read: a must have! Of course, Leandra Cohen, below, is already on it. She swears by Spendid's $60 version; I have this looser-fitting one by Vince. Both perfect for layering.

3. Fashion-goers are making their black turtlenecks look less basic with statement-screaming outerwear. Lauren Santo Domingo opts for a Saint Laurent leather bomber. This under $200 black Pixie Market executes just as well, IMHO.

4. Low-waisted denim is on the rise, and the new favorite fashions are by Madewell (second to last pic), Still HereEB denim, and Askk NY. I'm happy to wear these relaxed jeans day in and day out on either coast! Enjoy the weekend!
