laced up
Monday, June 12
Tis the season to get married--or swan around in festive wedding-worthy dresses! I love Naomi Watt's bridal Oscar de la Renta, above (also here), along with Jenny's Walton's alluring corset-inspired Erdem, below. Fortunately, I don't have to spend major money for big-day, lace-filled drama. My under-$150 loves: this mini Asos, this strapless Farm Rio, and this one-shoulder Lost & Wonder.

summer dress for less
Thursday, June 8
My summer game plan is a still up in the air, but I know for sure that it will involve loads of sunshine and tons of dresses. Which warrants a few new ones, especially if they are on sale, such as the airy, open-back Zimmermann, above, this printastic La Double J mini, this wedding-ready Dodo Bar Or, and this day-to-night patchwork Marni. I'm also in love with the new (and not on sale but still!) Lela Rose dress, below. Sexy with bustier detailing, but the long length and A-line silhouette temper it perfectly.
cool colors
Thursday, June 8
Did you know that San Diego was the cloudiest city in the lower 48 states in May? I can vouch that LA wasn't too far behind. And now Southern California seems doomed to a month of June Gloom. With perpetual grey skies on the horizon, Sydney Fashion Week's winter-read yoversized jackets, knee-high boots and head-to-toe monochrome looks are spot-on resonating with me. I'm especially inspired by the long coats that seem to go with everything--even summertime shorts!
callas milano
Thursday, June 8
There are button-down shirts and then there are button-down shirts that vibrate with an opulent European-chic aura. I just discovered Callas Milano's sustainably-made-in-Italy shirts that yield excellent cost per wear, given that they work for daytime, dinners out and even as a holiday coverup. I also love this striped split neck blouse, this tie front-shirt, this skirt, and their glamorously-tailored suits, below. All molto bene!
chino chic
Wednesday, June 7
If you feel like time is moving at mach speed, then Resort 2024 and what you'll be wearing then isn't too far off. For now, you'll be glad know that chino skirts will very much be involved and that its polished practicality is poised to work well in the future. Yesterday, Phillip Lim debuted his iteration of the upcoming trend, above, and it's easy to imagine wanting to wearing it everyday. As in right this minute! Thankfully, I can indulge in instant gratification with these versions from Abercrombie Fitch, below, Staud, Ganni, Sacai, and Juun J.
do-it-all denim
Tuesday, June 6
I think of my sister as a connoisseur of jeans, because she wears them daily for work. Her fashion photo shoots often have her squatting, running, constantly in action, so she needs clothes that move with her. Therefore, when she discovers a new pair that stands out from the rest, I take action too, and snag a pair for myself. Last week, she told me about her new white denim favorite, not only perfect on set, but for the summer--and beyond. They are the 90s Pinch Waist AGOLDE, with a high waist, straight leg and vintage-looking cut. She's not the only who swears by them: Paris-based Sara Ramen adores them as well! And, of course, I do too.
