Moving into a new closet isn't just about organizing clothes and accessories—it’s a chance to take stock of what I really love to wear. Yesterday, as I arranged shoes and hung up my clothes, I noticed a pattern: My go-to Jamie Haller loafers sit next to my sleek Prada slingbacks, revealing a mix of classic shapes with modern sensibility. My focus now is on building a wardrobe that's both functional and true to where I am now. This spring, I’m leaning into mules. Miu Miu’s Logo Slippers, above, strikes the balance between home-sweet-home comfort and Fashion Week-stylish. Right next to them: Khaite’s Mia T-strap, below, a pump that somehow makes polished but low effort look easy (more sizes here!).
forward march
In 2025 I'll be stepping out much like I did in 2024: simply, pointedly, and poised to go, go, go. But there's a new twist: a slight heel, symbolizing my elevated stride and stalwart determination. It's the same energy but a little more refined and grown-up, with every step forward in my new Loro Piana ballet flats, above, reflecting a more pulled-together and fearless version of myself!

reffing
We all know The Reformation has a lockdown on sexy day dresses, but this spring it's nailing eye-catching, round-the-clock shoes. I especially love the flat mesh mules, above, that can be worn with everything, as well as the (could-be-Prada) metallic sandals, below.
mary go round
Mary Jane shoes never seem to go out of style, but they happen to be especially cool at the moment. I've (over)worked my Sam Edelman pair for the last few months, and now that they're beaten and battered, I've decided to invest in a more elevated, forever-chic Valentino, above. The patent leather, pointy toe and signature studs will add polish and panache to any outfit, no doubt.
shiny shoes
Leave it to the Parisiennes to come up with the easiset--and yet chicest--holiday dressing hack: elegant, sparkly shoes to elevate a simple outfit. I'd like to let my feet do the talking at the next party with any of these current conversation starters by Mach & Mach, Loeffler Randall, below, Prada, Miu Miu, and Gucci.
mary me
Get ready for another Mary Jane moment. Yes, this classic shoe--now with an updated twist or two--is back this fall. Chanel, above, helped kick-start this trend, which is now sprinting full steam ahead due to its everyday/everywhere versatility. And there are so many good options to choose from! Among the best are these iterations from The Row (also in this color!), Sam Edelman, Doen (below on Kaia Gerber!), and Porte and Paire. I love them so much I bought the flat version by Sam Edelman and a dressy (but still day-in-and-day-out) wedge heel from Prada.
shiny shoes
My friend's no-fail, go-to party shoes are vintage sequin boots, but this season, she has reason to bust them out on a regular, everyday basis. That's because others are wanting to join this trendy sparklefest, thanks to all the glittery outfit-making options on offer. Chanel's boots and loafers are a cult favorite, but these by Madewell, J.Crew, Golden Goose, and Jimmy Choo are also fun.
sought-after shoes
My twin sister is currently working in Paris, spending the little downtime she has running around the city trying to nab this season's most coveted, already-sold-out-in-the-US shoe, the Chanel slingback, above. (I managed to snap up a pair while I was there a few weeks ago!) This toe- capped, mid-heeled shoe was featured in Chanel's Fall 2015 ready-to-wear show with nearly all of the 98 looks. So far, my sister hasn't had any luck in landing a pair of her own. I recommend she set her sights forward and buy the next must-have shoe, the resort-ready Gucci crossover sandal, below. Get them now while they last here.
fab flats
Celine's ballerina slippers with its signature high elastic vamp may have long sold out (pictured above), but thankfully they've left various iterations in their wake, including these gorgeous newbies from Topshop, Lanvin, COS, and Maryam Nassir Zadeh.

block buster
I'd been searching for the perfect pair of fall-worthy block sandals for weeks. My criteria: a manageable heel, a neutral, autumn-appropriate shade, and jeans-to-dresses wearability. Found! Madewell's suede shoe comes in a gorgeously rich burgundy (so fresh and different!), as well as black and beige. I recommend snapping them up before they sell out!
