lows and highs
Friday, March 3
This morning's impulse buys can be traced back to my meandering digital footprints, first stumbling upon the above photo of Caroline Issa in a spring slip dress (that she cleverly winterized with this and this!), followed by an Instagram pic, below, of Paris-based journalist Monica de la Villardiere. What ensued was the strapless Zara, below, that I too will layer (with this and this!) to wear pronto, along with the now-and-later and wear-it-separately H&M set, last pic.
dorsey does it again
Thursday, March 2
If you've finally scored one of Dorsey's perpetually sold-out Rivière necklaces, then you'll want to get ahead of the pack and pounce on the LA-based line's first-ever ring, debuting today! Inspired by founder Meg Strachan's grandmother's wedding ring, it's made of 14k-gold and studded with Dorsey's signature sparkling lab-grown diamonds. It looks like a million bucks, particularly when styled with the other pieces, above, and I love that it's both a cocktail party conversation starter and everyday-cool. Be sure to check out the new gorgeous white sapphire necklaces and bracelets, too, all here...for now.
splish splash
Thursday, March 2
Designer Ulla Johnson makes a splash at the beach her crisscross halter strap suit, above, but a friend of mine just one-upped her, pulling it off in a Hollywood restaurant the other day, with loose-fitting jeans and a white blazer. It was quite the stylish spectacle! I'll be working it both ways too soon!
big deals
Wednesday, March 1
I could impulse-buy Kaia Gerber's perfectly-oversized blazer from Everlane, above, but instead I am over-processing the real deal: this forever-chic investment-buy by Khaite! It's actually (unbelieveably!) half-off at Matches, along with these truly incredible beauts from Chloe, Gabriela Hearst ($358!), Givenchy, Jil Sander and Isabel Marant.
best jeans
Wednesday, March 1
Tory Burch nailed the coming season's unfussy fashion trend with the effortlessly chic ensemble, above. The overall look: streamlined and simple, but not boring-minimal. Right up my alley! Thehigh-waisted, faded jeans, with the hint of a crease down the front, are by far the best of Spring 2023 that I've seen so far. Get used to seeing them on me day in and out!
mountain highs
Tuesday, February 28
Aspen's deep powder proved too daunting for me last Saturday, so I engaged in the town's second most exhilarating activity: people-watching at The Little Nell! As I sat with a friend recovering from ACL surgery, sipping hot chocolate and nibbling on truffle fries, we ogled an endless stream of ski chic that spanned Moncler to The North Face. The dazzling display confirmed why one must also dress up for even the most basic off-the-slopes jaunts, such as a Paradise Bakery run, which I attempted to do, above, on Sunday morning! (My Cordova ribbed base-layer leggings are the best in the business, and my Sacai jacket now has a cool spring version!) Now that I'm back down at sea level, I've discovered that all the fancy stuff that defines Aspen style is currently on sale at My Theresa. The gotta-have-it greatest hits include this quilted Bogner, this Perfect Moment parka (or this!), these Isabel Marant shearling-trimmed ankle boots (and these ones!), these Sorel snow boots, this and this faux fur Toni Saylor! Just saying: All of these styles would work exceedingly well in the currently frozen tundra known as LA!

sparkle and shine
Monday, February 27
Khaite's super coveted crystal-embellished flats are pushing me to take a leap with my spring footwear and step out in the statement-y Jimmy Choo shoes, above, or these! Or I could do the on-sale Tory Burch ballet, pictured below, or any of these dazzlers by Gianvito Rossi (a promising summer staple!), Etro, AWAKE Mode, and Aquazurra.
prada's crew
Friday, February 24
Looks like Prada's pointy-toe heels, white skirts (in varying lengths) and brown blazers will be all the rage next fall. However, there's one cool runway look we can incorporate into our current uniforms right this minute: the simple crewneck. Prada showed them in various everyday-ready neutrals, from camel to charcoal grey, all of them teamed with showboat silhouettes (i.e., down-stuffed mini skirts, tapered trousers, etc). I am going to join Prada's crew with these lookalikes from J.Crew, Vince, Alex Mill (men's department!), The Reformation, and The Row.
cos atelier
Thursday, February 23
Why didn't anyone tell me about Cos Atelier and its limited-edition capsule of more elevated, luxuriously-crafted pieces? The stunning ruffled wool coat, above, is already sold out in my size but all you size 2's can still pounce! Clearly, Cos Atelier leans heavily towards The Row with its clean, sophisticated, elegant and forever-chic silhouettes but at much more affordable prices. The gorgeous navy leather trench, below, is calling my name, and I am pretty sure we could all work the fine tuxedo blazer, last pic. All the goods can be found here.
