seasoned style
Tuesday, March 8
From the look of things, Paris' unpredictable pre-spring weather is not undermining fashion's most seasoned wardrobes. Not even a little bit: show-goers are weathering the fluctuating temperatures (between the '30s to '60s!) seamlessly and stylishly in tweed jackets, lightweight coats, knee-high boots, outfit-punctuating neck scarves and lots and lots of denim. And, oui, I want it ALL, starting with a Chanel-spirited tweed (this, this, this and this), throw-on cardigans (H&M, And Other Stories, and Khaite, second to last pic), bold bandanas (Acne Studios, pictured below), and transitional jackets (Ganni, Mango, and, below, the toggle/sherpa Af Agger).
P.S. This is my definition of chic Paris Fashion Week denim!
la ligne
Monday, March 7
It's always fun hosting my New York-based friends in LA--but even more so when they design super cute clothes and bring them my way. Last week Meredith Melling, founder of La Ligne, unveiled her spring collection for me and my LA peeps and we swooped it all up, from the signature striped knits to the do-it-all dresses. Herewith some of my favorite looks: the zip-up (or down) Selby dress with a striped cashmere cardigan, above, capped off with my new Iris & Ink boots. Plus: the printastic dresses: the puff-sleeve, the halter (last pic) and green spaghetti strap.
so french
Thursday, March 3
Living up to her quintessential French girl rep, Anne-Laure Mais is winging Paris Fashion Week in classic stripes and ooh-la-la-sexy straps. The juxtaposition is thoroughly je-ne-sais-quoi chic-- and yet easy to achieve with an oversized blazer like this or this, peek-a-boo tops to wear underneath (Self-Portrait, Zara, H&M), striped knits (La Ligne, ba&sh, Alex Mill), forever-chic Levi's jeans, and a corduroy trench.

Thursday, March 3
I know there are many fans of JW Anderson's chain embellished loafers, above, as they keep selling out (on sale here!), so I thought I'd report that there is now a summer-worthy sandal version available--and the iteration below from Zara! You're welcome!
the dress for less
Wednesday, March 2
It's not everyday that the dress--Proenza Schouler's cut-out maxi, above and below--EVERYONE wants can be had for less, but that's the case today (through March 6), thanks to Net-A-Porter's Shop to Unlock sale (spend under $500, save 10%, spend $500+, save 15%, spend $1000, save 25%. Get the code here.) There are other knockouts, too, by The Reformation, Zimmermann, Altuzarra, and Rixo. Plus: these must-have Gianvito Rossi sandals, these By Far mules, this Stella McCartney shoulder bag, and Dr. Barbara Sturm Glow Drops.
oiya x le catch
Tuesday, March 1
I love jewelry that I can live in. As in leave on for weeks/months at a time, knowing full-well that it will go with just about everything and everywhere. So, it makes perfect sense that I teamed up with like-minded designer OIYA founder, designer and gorgeous Brazilian model Priscila Zoullas to create a capsule collection of endlessly versatile, made-for-layering, mix-and-match bracelets and necklaces. Each colorful piece stands on its own (proof above and below) or stacked together (last pic). And everything rings in at under $100! Additional bonus: OIYA will donate proceeds from every piece sold to Share The Meal, an initiative of the United Nations World Food Programme. Through Oiya's one-for-one program, every product purchased feeds a child in need for the day. Check out and shop the collection here!

Get ready to see a lot more white tank tops in your future. The wardrobe staple played a starring role in Matthieu Blazy's debut collection for Balenciaga in Milan this past weekend. Blazy's version, however, was rendered in luxurious nubuck leather to match the house's trademark woven intrecciato. (The jeans, below, are also leather!) Of course, it's just a matter of time before Zara churns out a more affordable option, but in the interim, why not sport the cotton classic? Because it clearly goes with just about everything--and looks IYKYK fresh. I'm going to upgrade with one of these by ATM, Free People, Agolde, and Rag & Bone.
exercise ensemble
Friday, February 25
Covid has kept me out of gyms and group exercise classes for nearly two years! But now, since I've had it and feel bulletproof (at least for the next 90 days!), I'm ready for a social sweat session. Getting my heart rate high are some new looks I want to waltz into class with! For starters, all looks stylish by Live The Process will help disguise my Pandemic-wrought shortcomings, I am sure! I love the one-and-done jumpsuits like this along with the sexy bra tops, above, along with this, this and this that will also stun outside the gym! I also adore the bold, spunky pieces by The Upside, below. Summer body, I am coming for you!
skirt up
Thursday, February 24
Prada just helped me empirically verify that my new skirt trend theory is correct. I initially noticed a high concentration of skirts on the New York runways (Altuzarra, Gabriella Hearst), then out and about on the streets in Milan (seen here) and now today at Prada's Fall 2022 show, in which there was a not a single pair of pants to be seen! So, naturally this means we need to start sourcing a few of our own show-stoppers that can be worn now through next fall and beyond. To be on trend, they need to fall below the knee and on the swingy side, like these by Vince, Nanushka, Alexander McQueen, Joseph and H&M.
