It's been a while since I've bundled up for the cold, but helping me get back into the chilly swing of things is Amsterdam-based Hollie Mercedes, a seasoned master of wintry-dressing arts. Whenever my twin sister shoots Gwyneth Paltrow, she makes an extra effort to dress up, even it's just throwing on a tailored blazer over a sweater or a pair of Chanel flats instead of Converse high-tops. Her approach has been historically successful (GP would concur) until earlier this month, when the last shoot had her working in a no-shoes-allowed house--and, unfortunately, in old mismatched socks.
