This week is off to an auspicious start, thanks to Shopbop's Style Event, featuring fall's newest, most coveted jeans (from Mother's straight leg crop, above, to the long and leggy, below) plus all of my favorite winter-ready pieces up to 25% off! My top five: this sleek and super versatile Theory coat, this Free People knit tunic, this Phillip Lim coat, these wear-with-everything Vince boots, and this fringed Mother cardigan. Head here to shop it all!

Mango's jumpsuit situation is not only compelling but convincing me I need to wear nothing else this fall! The one-and-done outfit could not be easier to throw on--and yet it looks totally pulled together. I especially love the belted denim one, above, and the sharp-looking suit-inspired version, below.

Big blazers are back again this fall, but this time around they are less structured and more borrowed-from-the-boys loose-fitting. In Paris this week, these jackets are being paired with everything from casual jeans to trousers to edgy statement dresses. The best options to consider come from TotemeDeadwoodVeronica Beard, Frame, Zara and Mango.

Despite all the trips around the sun my twin sister and I have made together, I've always found it difficult to find her the right birthday present every year! But not this one! Thank you, Minnie and Emma, for this cute vintage cassette shadow box--a little piece of art with major impact. (It even comes with D-rings for hanging!) Perfect for her new NYC apartment! The only challenge is deciding on the musical artist. The Grateful Dead? The Cure? Beastie Boys? All epic!

Lisa Aiken's multi-city fashion show tour is solidifying her own style-star stage presence. The other day in Paris, the Neiman Marcus fashion director spectacularly teamed a sexy peekaboo Victoria Beckham turtleneck with baggy trousers. (Note: she cleverly tucked the knit into her pants to minimize the cut-out.) Next, she paired an A.W.A.K.E. Mode asymmetrical top and pleated skirt to dramatic effect! Other standouts in her repertoire: these Frankie Shop shorts (which she topped with a Jacquemus blazer), Bottega Veneta mesh sandals (above), and Christopher Esber statement knits.

Though Paris' fashionistas will abide by Brasserie Lipp's long-standing "no salads as a meal" rule, they definitively play by their own style rules, and right now it's all about an unexpectedly short, above-the-knee hemline. It's not a typical fall silhouette, which is exactly why it looks so utterly fresh and cool. I want some of what they're having in these styles by See By Chloe, Alice & Olivia, Veronica BeardGanniWardrobe NYC, and Zara.

When my vintage-loving friend whipped out this Gucci wallet the other day to pay for lunch, I couldn't help but snatch it out of her hand. I had to have a close-up look at the elegant jacquard fabric and yesteryear-spirited embroidery. Seething with envy, I assumed she'd scored it at some second-hand spot, but no, she countered: it's current and available! Happy early birthday present to me! (P.S. It also comes in this classic color way.)

All the skin-baring cut-outs on Paris' Spring 2022 runways (Stella McCartney! Saint Laurent!) are inspiring me to make the cut now! Starting with Astr's alluring $98 knit, above, along with this Misha cut-out dress (I'd layer with a swingy blazer), this Ninety Percent long-sleeve top, this A.W.A.K.E. Mode striped sweatshirt, and this Jil Sander statement-making beaded knit (on sale).
