I'm thinking it's about time I snap up this summer's requisite pant: the cool khaki! What makes them "new" now is their loose but feminine, flattering cut; wide, cropped leg; and relaxed yet crisp vibe. What's more is their work-to-weekend versatility. Might I also add: they're not white (boring!) jeans. I'm eyeing these guys by Everlane, Dickies, Prada, Monse, Phillip Lim and J.Crew (on sale).

This week is churning out one surprise after the next, starting, of course, with the Battle of Winterfell's ending (no spoiler here!) followed by an unexpected but always welcome Shopbop sale! Havianas has improved on the basic rubber flip flop (read: summer staple) with a freshly chic striped grosgrain ribbon and slide-like silhouette. They're aptly called the Saint Tropez flip flop (but at a very un-South-of-France $40). Mais oui!

Considering the hundreds of likes the above Instagram post garnered, I'd say this Ulla Johnson dress is a definite crowd-pleaser! I paired this print-happy frock with these Zara sandals ($29, but not the most comfortable to walk in--just FYI) and this statement-making Jenna Blake necklace. What you don't see is my cute daisy-print Topshop bucket bag (more is more!) and can't-live-without diamond Anne Sisteron star earrings. There's nothing quite like the high of raiding your best friend and fellow fashionista's closet--except when you can actually take what you want and walk out wearing it! Such was the case the other day when I rifled through the racks belonging to my friend LA-designer Mary Alice Haney and tried on the latest styles from her much-lauded line Haney. I ended up buying/going home in the cute animal-print yellow jumpsuit, below. Yay me! As for the jacquard wrap dress and sleek silk jumpsuit, I'll be back to borrow those!
