A workday staple steeped in elegance is a rare find, which is why I'm obsessed with Manolo Blahnik's walk-everywhere, work-friendly, go-with-everything mules. Giorgia Tordini, above, pulls them off with aplomb in Paris.

Paris's fashion show front rowers are sporting a similar uniform, and, thankfully, it's a look I can wear any old day back in La La land. All I need: a good pair of straight-leg cropped jeans like these, these, and these; a fitted white t-shirt (such as this, this and this) and a boyfriend blazer (extra points if it has a check print). With September winding down(!), I'm working on winter's sweater game, and my action plan is: go big, or go home. You'd think it's bridal season with all the long white dresses out and about, but these white-hot statements are this fall's greatest hallmarks. They look especially fresh when partnered with boyish extras (i.e., structured blazers, utilitarian sneakers) and functional, chill-proof layers.
