My twin sister and I have a way of doing things in unison: falling for our first crush (unfortunately the same boy); having kids (our first were three months apart, our second, three weeks apart); and, now, renovating our homes. What is typically a painful process has been made a lot less painful thanks to furniture shopping together around town and flea markets abroad! Of course, there is also the question of how to make room for all the new stuff. . . So, starting today we're both parting with our former, but still much-loved, furnishings via Chairish courtesy of their help-you-figure-out-pricing-tool-for-vinatge/used stuff, The Chairish Pink Book. (For those of you not familiar with Chairish, it's a super curated online marketplace for chic vintage furniture and décor, where I've snapped up numerous well-priced treasures for my home in the past!) If you are curious about what adorned my house in recent times, this will offer some insight--plus there are quite a few things I'm parting with that I feel I may one day regret (!), like this Serge Moule-inspired light fixture, these room-punctuating turquoise urns, this Lulu DK pillow, this striking bamboo mirror, and this pagoda chandelier, which used to elegantly hang in my home office. That being said, I'm sure these pieces will inevitably become someone else's finds! Check out the entire sale here.

I'm planning to mix up my short summer dress routine with a few long, relaxed, and flowy maxis, especially ones that bare some leg (or a shoulder or two). This season's long dresses are all about strategically-placed cut-outs that show just the right amount skin. I particularly adore these by Lisa Marie Fernandez, Fendi (on sale!), Mara Hoffman, Stone Cold Fox, Equipment, and Tibi.

It's all about a shirt dress for summer. This one, with its unexpected asymmetrical hemline, stands out from the pack. Additionally, it works 9 to 5 and plays on the weekends!

My recent busier-than-usual schedule has demanded what I call lazy dressing: an easy but fail-proof uniform of jeans, a simple top and a statement jacket. The jacket instantly adds a stylish, spring-y zest--and basically camouflages the simplicity (read: lack of effort) underneath. My go-to has been a Chloe-inspired embroidered bomber (similar to above; I also love this one). Because this topper has been such a wardrobe lifesaver, I thought I'd seek out some other options to put on repeat. Plus, I have a hunch you'd appreciate some of these possibilities, too! So far, I'm digging this peplum Rebecca Taylor, this striped Paul & Joe, this pajama-inspired Mango, this bohemian Ulla Johnson, and this patched Topshop (similar to below; also this one). In a dream world, I'd love to have the OTT Gucci, below, but I'd also settle for this one!

My sister and I spent Sunday afternoon doing something we rarely ever do together these (work and kid-filled) days: simply relaxing and reading the newspaper. Like an old married couple, we shared article highlights with each other. Among the notable: fish have feelings (who knew?!); studies show that we're less busy than we think (i.e. we overestimate how much we actually work), and, according to the Wall Street Journal, not all white-t-shirts are created equal. As you might expect, it's this last headline on which I will now expound. While the Journal recommended a few white tees based on their "carefully finessed details," including this Frame Denim, and this ATM, I'd like to tout my current faves, replete with news-breaking accents such as this Pixie Market, this LNA, this Gap, this Edit and this Wilt. All fit to print!

Last summer I paid a hefty price for my sold-out-everywhere Vita Kin dress, above, and I have no regrets, as I wore it like crazy and plan to put it back into constant rotation. Still, I do feel a smidge of pain, seeing this super cute under-$200 Stylekeepers version!

Don't ask me how a cultural tour of Los Angeles with my visiting college-aged niece this past weekend ended up at Topshop in The Grove. But it did--and, thrillingly, it enriched with us with a newfound appreciation for artful, embroidered denim! We discovered a trove of it, all inspired by Gucci's pre-fall 2016 collection (above, another cool pair here). Topshop's embroidered jeans are whimsically cool, featuring both flowers (now mine) and birds (scooped up by my sister), plus they're delightfully affordable. I also adore this white floral pair and this sequined style. I foresee many more spin-offs down the road, but I like the idea of wearing them now before they saturate the streets!
