choice joyce
Thursday, October 31
In her fall lineup Joyce Lee, Madewell's former creative director, has chosen bags that don't just enhance any outfit but also offer generous space and effortless functionality. It's a fitting selection from the mind behind the brand's most iconic/coveted products such as the best-selling Transport Tote. Her fine-tuned edit is inspiring me to add the Parker Thatch (The Row vibes!) bag, above, and the slouchy suede, below, plus another suede carry-all by Khaite and a cute bucket by RSVP.
sienna's soiree
Thursday, October 31
The fall follow-up to Sienna Miller x Marks & Spencer's sell-out summer collaboration just landed, and everyone is saying it's even better than the last. Just in time for the holidays, the collection is anchored in party perfection, such as the cream suit she's wearing, above, along with the animal print leather clutch, the silk maxi dress, and the faux-fur jacket. I want it all!
top notch
Wednesday, October 30
For me, Halloween will be calling for head-to-toe mob wife, but for the holidays, I'll be dressing up in fancy tops and, well, that's really it! I believe those special pieces, such as the $245 ME + EM blouse, above (very Chloe!), the $138 mesh top and the embellished tank, below, can do all the heavy (style) lifting and keep everything else simple. Along with: this lace Reformation, this strapless and sexy Pixie Market, and this striking satin Aligne bow peplum top!

i love NY style
Tuesday, October 29
Seventy two hours in New York this past weekend was all it took to realize my fall wardrobe is seriously lacking in the accessories department. A brisk morning bike ride to La Bicyclette in Brooklyn definitely warranted a pair cute leather gloves, similar to above, like the ones I saw many others sporting even without bikes. I sourced great color options at a hard-to-beat price at Land's End, BTW. I could also use socks in fun, unexpected colors such as these from J.Crew, Alex Mill (blue ones below) and Bombas for additional outfit pop! And the way to layer knits right now is tied around your waist, under or even or over a jacket, just FYI. Of course, mandatory by now is the barn jacket, which, if you're still in the market for one, I love these by Pixie Market, Alex Mill and Wyeth.

big apple basics
Monday, October 28
If I hadn't packed my trusty, go-with-everything AGOLDE jeans this past weekend I am not sure I would made it through the whirlwind of meals at Sartiano's, Eel Bar and Cocodaq comfortably on my style game. Not coincidentally my sister worked her pair in black as well! And in another twist of fate this Monday, they're now on sale at Shopbop, along with tons of other new downtown-ready staples (at 40% off!) including these Schutz ballet flats, this Vince t-shirt, these Cult Gaia wide-leg jeans, these Sam Edelman Mary Janes, this Z Supply striped sweater, and these Stuart Weitzman flats. Shop it all here!
farmshopping
Friday, October 25
There's a poached chicken salad that everyone likes to order for lunch at Farmshop in Brentwood, to which I attribute miraculous stay-full-till-dinner properties. While I was mowing mine down yesterday, I paused to savor my friend's earrings--a jaw-dropping pair of puffy gold heart hoops. She informed me that they were by Real Fine Studio, a new LA-based line that also designs the cutest signet rings, which apparently are all the rage with twenty-something hipsters. We also talked about an upcoming wedding in Lake Como and what to wear (this, this and this), bags that don't break the bank (my new Coach, below, and the $88 Bottega lookalike, last pic, real deal here!) and bags that will (Khaite!), favorite new jackets (Simkhai, Pixie Market, Mango), and the next must-read on my list! Happy Weekend!
