I was trying not to be a last-minute holiday shopper. I hit the Grove last week in search of family gifts, but somehow I ended up in 's dressing room, surrounded by a bounty of amazing party dresses. All for me! And, um, oopsie, I bought them all, including the spotted print ! Also in the bag: this belted print , this floral (obsessed!), and this houndstooth ! The scary thing is I could have left with even more dresses if I were able to get away with it. I mean, how great is this lace-trimmed and clever hybrid ?

Yes, scarecrows and skeletons loomed about last night, but it was the tigers, leopards and zebras that really tricked out my Halloween! At a friend's packed-to-the-gills party, attendees stylishly turned up in this season's chic animal-print dresses that looked festively on point (read: my kind of costume!). Yesterday afternoon I was reminded how chic (read: essential) leopard print heels are at--of all places--my son's flag football game. A CEO friend of mine had on a pair that seductively/successfully meowed from the sidelines.

My father is going to be honored for his work at a fancy gala in New York in a few weeks, and I might just steal some of his spotlight by showing up in this sparkly wonder! (P.S. I don't think he'd mind! P.P.S. This will also set the holiday party circuit alight!)
