From New York to London to Milan, fashion show-goers are faring fall in the seemingly adaptable bomber jacket. Besides being just-right warm, the bomber is easy to layer, dress-to-pants versatile and comfy as can be. While I prefer the clean and simple iterations, the embellished bombers undeniably pull together an outfit with a bang! And it looks like the bigger, the better. And just like that, while I was eating my avocado toast lunch on the beach in Quogue yesterday, sweater weather blew in. The temperature suddenly dipped from sleeveless-balmy to skin-tingling breezy. Luckily, I had a striped with me and I threw it on over my swimsuit. For the seasonal transition, I plan to be well prepared with stylish layers that are not too heavy, not too light, but just right, starting with the faux fur trimmed vest, above. I will wear it under my winter coat when it gets really cold, too. I also love the $99 quilted trench coat, below, this faux leather  and this parachute jacket.

This is exactly how I want to face up to the first fall chill.

We may be springing forward this weekend (daylight savings begins on Sunday!), but it's still jacket weather out there. Jacket being the key word! I'm hanging up my winter coat and freshening things up with lighter, layer-friendly outerwear. It would have been ideal if I had found this sherpa jacket before my trip to Sun Valley last week, but, no matter, because it looks and works equally well off the snowy slopes! P.S. This color block jacket is also incredibly cool!
