This kind of highly functional, forever-chic (Chanel-like) jacket never gets old.

For my everyday spring uniform, I am going to take a cue from my sister's London-based stylist friend and do it up simply but stylishly. All I need are three very versatile things: a delicate, lace-trimmed blouse (like , , , and ); crisp, high-waisted jeans (my faves from , and ); and barely-there, spring must-have strappy sandals. While tie-dye, fleece, and feathers dominated New York's Fall 2019 runways, a new must-have pair of jeans ruled the streets. Their distinct trademarks: straight-legged, relaxed-fit, high-waisted, and, wait for it.... long! In other words, quintessential '90s. (This style also featured prominently in the deep blue Fall 2019 yonder in collections from and , with nary a skinny silhouette in sight). I especially like these versions from (love the fit and price--and this , too!!), , , , , and .

Never mind that it feels like January 33! The new year means new jeans! On tap for my 2019: a distinctly fresh denim silhouette that's slightly more loose-fitting, a little lower-waisted, straight-legged and just a teeny bit cropped. (However, I do predict that over the course of the year I will embrace the longer, next-big-thing styles like these by and .)
