Packing for a 48-hour work trip to Cabo had me staring into my carry-on like it was a crystal ball. Was I about to emerge as a breezy, lace-draped romantic or the sleek, minimalist getaway girl with a line-up full of neutrals and black one-pieces? One part of me wanted to pack this va-va-voom cut-out crochet dress (below) but then the other craved simplicity (head-to-toe Cos). Plot twist: I packed both "girls." Proof? The multiple bags I lugged on to the plane--a mix of Chloe rattan, rope-trimmed Alemais, quirky Prada prints, and basic Madewell. My footwear followed suit: modern blue J.Crew jellies, plus ecru Rails jeans and noise-canceling Bose headphones for one personality, bohemian Beek toe-ring sandals (last pic) for the other. I also packed this, this, this, this and this. (Far too much but both girls love options!) Thankfully, my lip gloss had no identity crisis. ’s new lip glosses have a shade for every alter ego—whether I'm keeping it subtle in a or going full heatwave with a . Took them both out last night! Style conflicted? Maybe. But at least my lips are consistent.

Temporarily staying at my sister's home in Beverly Hills has come with an unexpected perk: noticeably better skin and hair. For that, I have my well-researched 16-year-old niece to thank. Her bathroom shelves are a meticulously curated collection of products—sourced from viral TikTok recommendations (most of which I’d never heard of), endorsed by her sophisticated, beauty-savvy friends in LA and NY, and vetted through her own rigorous trial-and-error experiments. Put it this way: even her hand soap is carefully chosen. Some of her favorites have now become mine, taking up permanent residence in my everyday Tory Burch carry-all, above. They literally spruce me up when I am cheering on my boys at their school volleyball games or heading out for lavish lunches at The Polo Lounge. The winners: this game-changing Mighty Fine Brow Pen by Benefit (guess what I have perfect brows now!), this Crown Affair throw-on-and-go mousse that adds a kind of texture to my hair I never knew possible plus this for my always-dry strands. This shampoo and conditioner duo by is the only reason I am wearing my hair down more these days. She also turned me on to (the most hydrating moisturizer pretty much ever) and this everyday-clear semi-gloss from . The cool-on-contact steel tip is everything--just like my niece.
