In case there was any confusion about whether to wear white pants after Labor Day, these hot-off-the-press street style snaps should clear things up. Fashion Week show-goers are lighting up autumn's gloom with lots of cream, from classic jeans to sophisticated high-waisted trousers. The key to this look is accessorizing with textural wintry staples such as boots, cozy sweaters, and cold weather's go-to hue, black. I think white wide-leg trousers are particularly fresh and polished, specifically these iterations from (just got these and love!), , (second picture down), , , , and (similar to above).

Found: the greatest pair of easy breezy summer pants ever! I recently snapped up 's lightweight linen pair, above, and they've been giving my effortlessly chic summer dresses a run for their money. These pants are perfectly high-waisted, day-to-night wearable, and sandal to sneaker to kitten heel-friendly. In other words: pant perfection.

Looks like the biggest street style star of New York Fashion Week is the wide-leg white pant! Any hesitation about wearing white trousers in winter should be assuaged by these pics, which also nicely demonstrate how to wear them.
