It's currently peak season for coats up top, sandals down low: spring in the streets, summer on the feet. The key to this transitional look is the footwear: a sandal with quiet intention. Translation: a barely-there heel, an elegant leather thong, or a rope detail that hints at hot and sunny while still holding its own under a cool trench.
