I love this dramatic take on the staple white blouse, but, unfortunately, it's from a few seasons ago and sold out. Wah! However, I did turn up this similar looking wrap-like alternative from that's actually a lot more office-friendly and, with the right styling, just as statement making. I also found these eye-catching updates on the white blouse from , , , , and.

I'm on the hunt again for the perfect white t-shirt, this time for the newly emerging oversized silhouette. Slouchy in the shoulders with nearly elbow-length sleeves, this trendy tee looks as if it were borrowed from a boyfriend--and yet it still possesses the ease and versatility of fitted t-shirts past. So far, I'm considering these options from (pictured above), , , , and .
An invite to a friend's birthday party this past weekend called for "upscale casual" attire. I interpreted that to mean a vibrant, above-the-knee dress with flat lace-up sandals. Turned out everyone else translated that into more formal long dresses and heels. I did survive, and though everyone looked amazing, I am inclined to stick with my interpretation, which would also include the chic look, above: a mix of fancy (a billowy top) and relaxed (cropped Madewell chinos). I definitely have the casual in my wardrobe nailed down, but could always use some more outfit-elevating tops. So I tracked down these goodies from , , , and .

I'm now thinking that my scorching hot summer day style plan will center around the silk camisole top. Thank you, Celine, for bringing back this '90s hit. The comeback is warranted, of course, as it goes with summer's most key staples, such as a pair of wide-leg trousers, culottes, jeans and a midi skirt (I wouldn't go shorter than above the knee, lest I want to show off too much skin!), plus it's sleek, sexy and shoulder-baring--like that other ubiquitous summer top--and easy to layer. I prefer camisoles that look suitable outside the boudoir, such as these by , , , and .
