Before yesterday's chopping-baking-roasting marathon, I cooked up a convo with a Honolulu-based friend on the phone. In between her expert stuffing tips and humorous familial anecdotes, she happily announced that she had just bought a hot tub at a Black Friday Sale. Mornings have been "cold" in LA these past few weeks, and I am finding that the warm Land's End fleeces I'm putting on in the morning to take my children to school are staying on till the end of the day. They're just too comfy and cozy to peel off, and thankfully, they're ridiculously easy to mix into to my polished workaday mix. Proof: above and below. Of course, the right fleece is key. The green jacket I'm wearing above is actually reversible, with just straight-up quilting on the other side. The navy zip-up bomber jacket is lightweight and made for layering (read: cute under a coat). All are scores! I also have this jacket in green because I love it so much, along with this parka.

If you are feeling anything like me today--overwhelmed, stressed, tired--then I thought you might appreciate what's helping me get through it all. Goop's dinner invitation instantly had me with its promise of a twice-baked potato with mounds of caviar. However, what I found to be even more satiating was its new collaboration with Lacoste, chock full of chunky zip-up sweaters (my fave below), cute polo knits (pictured on my friend Alessandra Codinha, above) that clearly work off the court, pull-on trousers you won't want to take off, and the chicest tennis skirt ever.
