Like mother, like son. Gift-buying at the last minute. He texted me yesterday in a shopping panic, but at least I could help him out with a GENIUS idea! The House of Woo's Design in Box renders recycled and surplus fabrics into the custom-made design of your dreams. You design it, Woo makes it. How cool is that? Since my kids like to wear sweatpants pretty much 24/7, I thought it would be fun to let them make their very own standout sweats, above. But you can also custom-design t-shirts, hats, bag, whatever you fancy. Love!

I just read in Vogue that brown is this year's hue du jour. This warm, neutral color is not only illuminating the streets of New York right now (pictured below), but taking over interiors, too, explaining that its calming, earthy vibe is grounding. It also reflects the rise of warm minimalism: clean yet comforting. I'm jumping in with The Outnet's $300 knee-high boots, last pic, and eyeing these pieces from Cult Gaia, Minkpink, Michael Kors, and Mara Hoffman!

LA-based, Paris-bred creative director Jen Azoulay describes her style as neither Californian or French. Instead, she likes to mix simple with extravagant things, such as a Sea crochet knit sweater, above (also here), with a tweed Chanel. Or a lived-in Frankie Shop sweatshirt, below, with an elegant Gucci Horsebit bag. (I also adore the Chanel pearls with the $150 grey knit turtleneck, below!) Her other high/low mainstays: the Mango cut-out bodysuit, below, the Camilla and Marc white trench coat (second pic down), Re/Done faded black jeans, Mango quilted sweatshirt (last pic) and Frankie Shop wide-leg trousers.

You know when you're debating whether to buy something but then see it on someone else--and all of a sudden you HAVE to have it? That's exactly what happened with this Sandro blouse (on sale). Now it's mine too!

Of all the Fall 2022 collections that have been unveiled in New York over the last few days, my hands-down favorite is by Brandon Maxwell. (Altuzarra, with its chic pea coats and stand-up shearling collars, comes in at a close second!) The reason is simple: Maxwell combines glamour with comfort. In the most uncontrived, easy-to-pull-off way. I want to wear my everyday jeans but dress them up with a knockout blazer, like above. Or whirl around in an evening-out dress--but still feel at-home cozy in a fisherman's sweater. Speaking of which I need to buy one (this, this or this) to start wearing immediately. Check out the current collection here, specifically this!

From the look of things, New York fashion show attendees are living large: big scarves, baggy pants, hefty turtlenecks, jumbo jackets, super-long coats, etc. Of course, in Manhattan, bigger has always been better, but what makes this particular massive-statement style doable is that nothing is too over the top. For starters, I'm totally lusting after Lisa Aiken's Goldsign leather pants (on sale here!), Toteme turtleneck and scarf, all pictured above! (I also love the plush Toteme shearling jacket, below.) Other ways to get on the big bandwagon: these Frankie Shop or Lou Lou Studio pleated trousers, this perfectly oversized Zara button-down shirt, this extra big hoodie (similar to below), and this roomy H&M cardigan and this outfit-making By Malene Birger trench coat.

New York Fashion Week officially kicks off today--and how I wish I was there to see not only what's in store for Fall 2022, but what industry insiders are wearing right now! This morning Moda Operandi founder Lauren Santo Domingo graciously provided a glimpse of what to expect on the streets via her Instagram feed: oversized Khaite turtlenecks, above, The Frankie Shop suits, below, quilted Toteme trench coats, last pic, Proenza Schouler loafers, boots from Aeyde and Bottega Veneta, and luxe baseball hats, like the one, below, by Acne Studios. Happy Friday, all!

It's been ages since I've been to London--but that hasn't stopped me from trawling one of my favorite High Street stores, Monsoon. While it's always been a solid boho-chic source for vivid block print dresses and quilted patchwork jackets, it delightfully surprises me from time to time with its more subdued knits, like the fringed cape, above, for $35 (!). Naturally, this cute cape discovery led to root out other viable options in the market (and how to wear them right this very minute) and I also found this Mango, below, and this, this, and this!

It's only been two weeks since The Row's Fall 2022 collection with its distinct white-turtleneck styling hit the runway and already this look turning up on the streets of Copenhagen. Fashionistas are employing this layering trick to winter-fy lightweight shirts and spring dresses, above and below, effecting an IYKYK-cool, ahead-of-the-curve vibe. Once LA's heatwave blows over, I want to give it a whirl in any of these fitted, not-too-bulky options from Vince, Ninety Percent, and Splendid. I'd wear it under this, this and this!
