Paris-based Leia Sfez's interpretation of summer casual boasts a distinct--and enviable--French accent! Je l'adore! Fortunately, for us not so fluent en francais, her style is pretty easy to emulate--as long as there is an investment bag, The Row sandals and Bally loafers in the mix to keep things polished. She sticks to oversized and cropped button-shirts from Mango (both on sale now!) and Toteme, sporty shorts (this, this and this), classic striped knits (Kule, La Ligne, Ganni) and a wear0over-everything denim shacket (Closed Official, H&M).

Me and my toes have been forever-long fans of Essie's Big Apple Red until now. Gucci's new nail polish collection featuring super glossy, super glamorous, vibrant varnishes is sweeping me off my feet! So fun, right? My favorite is Peggy Sunburn!

Paris' haute couture shows are on, and while the runways are afroth with exuberant feathers (Chanel), hand-loomed tweeds (Christian Dior) and decadent tulle (Giambattista Valli), the boulevards are brandishing simple, streamlined staples. Read: clothing we can all wear, thankfully! Current essentials: an oversized white button-down shirt (Frankie Shop, Seroya, Vince); lace-up sandals (Steve Madden, Gianvito Rossi, TKEES); white jeans (AGOLDE, Rolla's, Mother); leg-baring minimalist dresses (Significant Other, Loewe, Staud) and colorful bags (Arizona Love).

So delighted to see Mille, one of my favorite independent designers, land on Shopbop this morning--and just in time for the balmy days upon us. The clothes are super light and airy, all rendered in cotton, with vivid prints that scream laid-back summer. Plus, the prices are easy on the wallet. My current faves include this Maui dress, this billowy top, and this clean and simple keyhole dress.

I'm all about a printed skirt this summer--and evidently, I am not alone! I especially love an unexpected or even kitschy pattern, which kick ups my head-to-toe look and does all the heavy-lifting outfit work. I'm talking these options (many on sale!) from Saloni, Alice & Olivia, The Reformation, Madewell, and Miguelina.

I want to come back as Australian surfer in my next life.

For the long holiday weekend, I'm traveling 18 miles up the coast to Malibu--and vicariously via Lucy Williams, pictured here, all the way to Andros, Greece! Although we are multiple time zones apart, I can still wear everything in her suitcase. Yay! So for today: I'll start with the glam paisley swimsuit by Faithfull the Brand, then switch into the sarong and matching bikini, above, then move on to the striped Ganni for late afternoon and then finally sunset away in the plaid halter dress by Polo Ralph Lauren. I'll keep you posted for what's on deck tomorrow!

All the festive dresses that have been hanging limply in my closet for months are finally seeing some action--and not just because of me! Friends are coming over to borrow this and that for various events! While sharing my clothes makes me happy, it also reveals what's missing in my wardrobe--which is actually helpful, so thank you, friends! What could I use more of? A splash of summer drama, like the set above from A.L.C., for starters! (I'd throw on a white linen blazer or an oversized cardigan to make it less beachy.) Also head-turning: a long and slinky knit dress (this and this), like below, the bold striped Ganni dress (last pic), this $30 ruffled Shein, this mini print Johanna Ortiz, and this tie-front Zimmermann.

A top that I can wear backwards and forwards is a top that belongs in my closet forever. Thank you, Merlette, for making this summer's easiest, most wearable top. Bonus: it's tissue-light for these hotter-than-heck days!
