springing
Monday, March 22
Although Palm Springs is only a two-hour drive away from home, I felt like I was in another world this past weekend. Palm Springs sprung me deep into spring, complete with poolside lounging, dress wearing (above in Rixo, below in Love Shack Fancy, last pic in Mille), and sun basking. My sis and I hit vintage stores, furniture galleries, monumental Desert X exhibits, and a delicious off-the-beaten track vegan restaurant (Chef Tanya's Kitchen). We also gleaned some supermodel swimsuit cover-up tricks from fellow Parker Hotel guest Alessandra Ambrosio, who inspired us to tie our shirts around our waists like a sarong (this and this), and worked our gold necklace game (now I want this one by Laura Lombardi!) All in all, a fun re-charge for this long week ahead.
weekend whirlwind
Friday, March 19
I'm heading to Palm Springs this weekend to check out Desert X and warm up my 80-degree weather wardrobe. Among the pieces packed in my getaway bag: the above Emerson Fry print blouse, the long Mango shirt dress, below (I'll button it up, throw the belt on and see some art in it too!), this Roxanne Assouline enamel necklace, these fun Seychelles slides (last pic), and this super cute Tory Burch dress which comes with a matching face mask! Have a great weekend!
dress revenge
Thursday, March 18
In case I didn't tell you, I'm getting dress revenge. Meaning: I am going to make up for all of last year's non-dress wearing with future non-stop dress wearing! And I'm building up my arsenal with giddily affordable, statement-making frocks including the chic chain print Mango, above, this floral ($20!) Asos, this paisley Rahi mini, this cut-out Likely, this LSpace wrap, this feather-trimmed River Island (go up a size!), and this ruffled Roller Rabbit.

This season's casual carry-all bag is a holdover from lock-down fashion--and I'm not mad about it. Quite the opposite actually, as it's functional and go-everywhere-easy. And lots of cute, inexpensive options abound including the striped Gimaguas, above, the Kule tote (last pic), the faux Hermes (last pic), this Isabel Marant and this Capelli. P.S. If you're hankering for a designer version, check these out beauts from Valentino, Gucci, Chloe, and Missoni.
oh, slit!
Wednesday, March 17
Jeans are taking a subtle turn this spring with a slight slit at the hem. The effect: some fresh edge. A few ultra-flattering ones to consider come from The Reformation, DL1961, Zara, Stradivarius, and H&M.

polo player

A sweater that I can wear year round and not get sick of is a keeper, indeed. My go-to of late is the polo neck knit, because it's easy to layer (under a blazer, over a turtleneck), and affords a million necklace layering possibilities. I recently snapped up the Pixie Market striped sweater below, and J.Crew sent me this crazy comfy gorgeous cashmere one!
sunshine daydream
Tuesday, March 16
I woke up this morning with a severe case of spring break fever! But I found a quick cure: simply contemplating warm-and-sunny clothes is transporting! I'm talking breezy, life-on-the-other-side pieces such as the goddess-making Cult Gaia dress, below, this Alexis batik mini, and this under $100 Charlie Holiday swimsuit. I also discovered that Shopbop has tons of spring-ready styles on sale, like this Amo chambray shirt, this Lost + Wonder kimono, and these right-now-cut Re/Done jeans. P.S.: Net-a-Porter is also offering 15% of just-in new season merch. Spring it on here!
a cut above
Monday, March 15
I'm definitely going to add one of spring's keyhole dresses to my dress-to-impress arsenal! I love the Sea, above, but these alluring options by Zara, below, Rixo, The Reformation, and Significant Other also float my boat.
