At the start of every summer between the ages of 8 and 13, my twin sister, best friend and I would hit up the Westhampton Beach marine shop and buy ourselves a new puka bead necklace for the season. I'm now resurrecting this tradition with a more grown-up and elegant version, above, by Jenna Blake--and it seems I'm not the only one bringing back the puka (see trendsetter Leandra Medine, below), who's sporting a fun and colorful Gimaguas. With my twin sis away in New York, I relished (fraternal) twinning with my good friend Molly Sims at a Malibu party the other day. (See more snaps here!) We both opted for short and sweet (and green paisley): She in a Zimmermann mini and me in a past season Valentino jumpsuit, scooped up recently at The Real Real, and very, very well-received by other revelers. I'm now thinking I could put another one in rotation, like the Reformation, below, topped with a white linen blazer, or this denim Frame or these beauts by Pam & Gela, Thurley, Asos, and Veronica Beard.

Eminent summer style boils down to the right amount of skin-baring, and this season, I'll be baring some back, with sexy shirts, like the (all-business-up-front) Sacai, above, this puff-sleeve Warehouse, this cropped floral Topshop, this pretty striped JBrand, and this classic silk Rokh (on sale!). I love capping off an everyday-getting-business-done outfit with an easygoing, strappy sandal. The mixed-up combo looks nonchalant yet chic--so up my alley! And might I add: perfect for Summer Fridays! I'm particularly obsessed with the endlessly wearable TKEES sandals, below, for $55! Before I knew it (before I even had a cup of coffee!), I had scrolled through 1,008 of 6,840 under-$100 dresses on Asos this morning. No, I did not have time to do this. Not even a little bit! Truth be told, I simply could not stop scrolling, due to the compelling and staggering amount of amazingly inexpensive options. They just kept popping up again and again and again (and again!). These are effortlessly chic dresses to swan around in on a hot summer day, ones that you don't have to think twice about, that just simply. . . work!
