robe play
Wednesday, July 10
My jet lag-induced insomnia has had me daydreaming about my recent Mallorcan holiday (see highlights here/more pics to come on Le Catch!), the Med's perfect skin-tingling temperature, the salty pimientos at Ca N'Antuna in Fornalutx, the sublime view at Es Vergerete, swimming in Cala Deia, scenic strolls around Soller--and the kick-back-and-relax clothing I wore through it all. Among my favorite barely-there pieces: the ruffled-sleeved Maison La Plage, above, The Reformation mini, below, this sheer Topshop cover-up, these Loeffler Randall sandals (I literally wore them, below, everyday!), this striking La Double J bikini, and this ocean-friendly Bauble Bar necklace (both, last pic).
boots and dresses

Thankfully, we're a ways away from fall, but that doesn't mean we can't start prepping for cooler weather--at a hard-to-pass-up discount! Shopbop is staging a crazy 75% off sale that features both summer and fall-worthy pieces that I'll actually wear together in several weeks time (see inspo, above)! I'm talking boots, like these by Vince and Ulla Johnson, this Veronica Beard dress that I can wear now and later with a blazer, this print-pretty Isabel Marant Etoile blouse, this checked Capulet blazer, this Warm maxi and this Ganni striped knit. See it all here!

This summer is going long on shorts--specifically, knee-grazing Bermudas. Whether big and baggy or close-fitting, they look best teamed with more polished pieces, like minimalist tanks and strappy sandals. Personally, I prefer the more tailored-looking, trouser-spirited Bermudas, because they're versatile and come off more sophisticated. Prime examples include these by Theory (on sale), Pallas (on sale), Vince, 7 For All Mankind, and Topshop.
tank full
Wednesday, July 3
Paris' haute couture fashion show goers are weathering the excessive heat with a less-is-more style strategy. And by that I mean they're relying on a super simple, inexpensive wardrobe staple: a 90s-inspired tank top. I like these ones that are little more than basic by ATM (similar to above), James Perse, Vince, and The Line by K.
summer home
Monday, July 1
Years and years ago I'd fly to London just to shop at the High Street stores (i.e., Topshop, Warehouse, etc.), because the offerings were so on the mark (i.e., runway-inspired but affordable) and relatively unidentifiable (i.e., rarely seen in America). But, now, of course, thanks to the internet, I can click and buy from wherever I am. Still, sometimes it helps to see (cheap) things in person before purchasing, particularly home decor, so while I was in London over the weekend, I popped into H&M Home, which has no physical stores in the US. Put simply: I was blown away--it was almost hard to believe at first sight! So much for so little! Even though I can buy the goods online back at home in the States (yay!), I had to buy some (and commit to lugging them back) as they were so amazing. Plus, I feared they'd sell out, which, apparently, is typical since the offerings are so desirable. Here's what I snapped up: these pretty palm-print glasses, these amazing Hermes-spirited plates, this boho-chic tablecloth, this chic marble bowl (perfect for olives or nuts), and these kitschy candlestick holders. Stockpiling at home, to be continued!
haute heatwave

New York's hottest day of the year so far had me debuting a denim mini, above. Truth be told, I bought the Topshop skirt because it was on sale for $29(!) and I thought it could stylishly sub in for standard-issue shorts throughout the summer. Along with the skirt, I wore a Reformation white t-shirt (perfectly cut, in my opinion) and Chanel slides to step things up a notch (or seven). Lastly, I applied GOOPGLOW Body Luminizer to my legs and arms for an opulent, radiant, heat-is-my-friend glow. And that may have been the best style hack of all! Have a great weekend!
secret shop

When my LA friends clean out their closets, they hand off their beloved castoffs to Dana Weinrot, who sells them via Celebrity Owned to people like me! For a while now, I've been asking her to open a phsyical space, where I can peruse the offerings in person. I'm happy to report she has finally conceded, and her office-meets-store is now filled to the brim with the latest and greatest investment bags, some of them new and others gently used, along with choice pieces from Christian Dior to Zara. My first trip netted several standout dresses, including the print Preen, above, and a gorgeous pastel-hued Etro blouse. Enjoy it all here!
P.S. One good shopping tip: I've found that searching by designer turns up more desirable, easy-to-wade-through results.
double trouble
Wednesday, June 26
Right after lunch at Frenchette yesterday, I ran into a hair stylist with whom my sister consistently works. As per usual, I assumed he thought I was Coco, and so, before he could even say hello, I introduced myself. As it turned out, he knew who I was and informed me that my sister was actually shooting across the street. What a crazy coincidence! But, well, then again, not really, as we are always unwittingly showing up at the same places, wearing the same clothes, etc, etc. Such was the case the other day, with both of us breezing around in the same Rebecca Taylor lovelies, above (here, too). P.S. We also recently bought these same pieces, 2500 miles apart, by Khaite sweater (we both snagged on sale in pink!) and H&M.
sunny day denim
Tuesday, June 25
Summer's must-have denim--high-waisted, cropped jeans, miniskirts, and wide-legged whites--can be had for waaaaay less at Shopbop, starting today! Check out this indigo perfection by Lee Vintage (ecru! $68!), Re/Done (easy-going, perfectly-cut ), Frame (the iconic mini), and Goldsign (sleek, dark-rinse ). Plus, there's a ton of on-sale outfit-making stuff to go with, like this, this, this, this, and this.
