real good
Thursday, August 30
Yesterday I fell down the infinitely deep retail rabbit hole known as The Real Real and I thought you might want to meet me there. After all, there are crazy amazing deals to be had, including the beautiful Chanel slides, above, this fall-perfect Chanel vest (for $275!), this Gucci mini-dress and this Hermes tote. I dare you, here. P.S. I also did a Barneys sale fly-by and spotted this OMG-head-turning Valentino halter dress (80% off!), this pretty Zimmermann mini, this oversized Acne Studios sweater (that I'll want to live in this fall), and this gorgeous lace Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini dress. EEK!
good jeans
Wednesday, August 29
Fall typically ushers in a new pair of must-have jeans. This time around, there's more than one style to choose from, which works for me, because, well, I can never have enough good jeans! To make a fresh point, I'll definitely want to rotate in a pair of non-blue jeans into the mix, like these faded charcoal button-front denim, above, from JBrand. The distinct dark (but goes everything!) hue lends new season edge and sophistication. I also like these versions from Isabel Marant, Veronica Beard and Frame. Another style I want to work: these relaxed, straight-leg, full-length(!) jeans. I know they will make my legs look longer (never a bad thing) and feel comfy (bonus). I'm considering these fashion insider-favored Moussy, these spot-on Re/Done and these super-flattering Eve Denim (on sale!). Boyfriend jeans are also back this fall, but they're more fitted and cropped than seasons past, which makes them extra polished-looking. I'm digging these by Levi's, Rag & Bone, and Citizens of Humanity.

le catch x clare v crew
Monday, August 27
I had so much fun celebrating the launch of the latest Le Catch x Clare V. collaboration in Sag Harbor on Saturday night. The party was staged at Clare V's intimate pop-up at Matta on Main Street, and friends, including Christy Turlington and Molly Sims, flooded the space to choose their bags' hand-painted monogram colors. (One good friend was especially sweet to loan me her amazing Loewe dress, above!) The white version of the bag sold out by night's end, however, you can get on the waitlist for mid-December delivery, and there are just a few black ones left. (I love it adorned with a scarf, pictured below.) Here are some of the highlights from the party!

Ready, set, go! My latest collaboration with bag designer extraordinaire Clare Vivier launches... now! The buttery leather totes are reversible (so genius!) and the rope handles can tie to either cinch the bag into compact cuteness, sling the bag across your shoulder, or wrap around your waist, belt-bag style So incredibly versatile (more genius)! And like our past collabs, the bag features a chic hand-painted monogram. Get them pronto before they go here!

If you love your Havianas, you'll love them even more now that--unlike before--you can sport them with your sleekest pieces and look right-this-minute chic. And the brighter they are, the better and fresher. The pink ones, above, are on sale for $13! I also like the army green pair, this yellow/black version, below, this go-with-everything rose gold style, and this eye-popping coral pair. Choose your favorite here.
cropped and cool

My summer-thinned blood (and below-70 weather) had me in a sweater yesterday--for the first time in weeks! The pre-fall chill prompted me to seek out knits I'll be psyched to wear full time, and they're all pretty much cropped crewnecks--fall's must-have silhouette! My faves include this super versatile Ganni puff-sleeve, this striped cashmere La Ligne, this And Other Stories (in myriad colors), this Fair Isle Love Shack Fancy and this polka dot Ulla Johnson. The sweater, above, is on sale here!

I've been swept up in the usual New York City whirlwind for the last week, dining at different spots day and night (Cafe Select, Sant Ambroeus, Bar Pitti, Nobu, The Odeon, Ludlow House, Legacy Records), vintage shopping in the East Village (Dana Foley), Spyscape-ing and model boat sailing in Central Park with the kiddos--and logging 10K+ steps a day! The shoes that have stood up to all this activity: the $22 Target sandals, (above). They're comfortable, outfit-accenting (The Row-inspired) and, most importantly, pavement-pounding durable! P.S. My dress is by Zimmermann.
superior skirts
Thursday, August 16
As you may have gleaned from my Instagram feed, I've been sporting dresses all summer. There's nothing like a throw-on-and-go beautiful dress that completely makes your outfit. But these pics of Italian stylist Diletta Bonaiuti have had me thinking about skirts with the same potential i.e. outfit-makers that require nothing but a simple top and easy shoes to get you out the door fast while looking très chic! I love her satin, eyelet-embellished Self-Portrait stunner, above, and her polka dot Mango, below. I also love these skirts from Ganni, Rixo London (or this one), Gucci, Keepsake, Rebecca Taylor, and J.Crew.
