My sister called me yesterday to report that she had managed to snap up a bounty of on-sale goodies both online and in person (by sending her assistant!)--all from a photo shoot in Malibu. I commended her on this dexterous feat, then followed in her digital footsteps. My first and only stop: Nordstrom's, where I was overwhelmed/impressed (as was my sis!) with the plethora of primo designer finds. Did I mention that my cleanse also entails four-hour workouts every day? Ug, yes. So, you can just imagine how excited I'll be this Friday afternoon when I get to ditch my leggings, sneakers and sports bras for a long-weekend spate of summer dress debuts, including the show-stopping yellow maxi, above, along with these now on-sale lovelies from Zimmermann, Anjuna, and Victoria Beckham! Don't judge me: I'm cleansing this week. No sugar, gluten, soy, caffeine, alcohol, animal protein, or dairy. I'm trying to compensate for what my BFF calls the "98% vacationing" I've been doing (Tulum, Caribbean, Mexico, Sonoma, etc)! That being said, I'm not completely depriving myself of all of my vices, specifically sale shopping! Yes, I am going to indulge in the discounts at Netaporter, where on-sale (read: irresistible) treats like the Chloe bag, above, is up for grabs, along with this Altuzarra skirt, this Isabel Marant mini dress, and these Frame straight leg jeans. This spring's romantic blouses are so up my I-wear-my-heart-on-my-sleeve alley! Kitted out with ruffles, lace, and/or puffy sleeves, they're exactly what my flirty dreams are made of. My favorites of the season come from Ganni, below, Pixie Market, La Chemise, Petersyn, Isabel Marant Etoile, Paul & Joe, and J.O.A.

Major news, people: my "Jack" dress is currently gracing the pages of Harper's Bazaar June/July issue (as part of its Jet Set capsule collection)--and it's also available for purchase on ShopBAZAAR.com. Woo hoo! I'll be wearing this super cute tassel-trimmed dress everywhere this summer, from Malibu to Montauk and even downtown Manhattan. It's lined with shorts, so I can really run around easily. The bell sleeves I like to push up during the day, and when it's really hot, I skip the belt for a more breezy look. It's truly the definition of effortlessly chic! Get one before it goes!

As our Australian counterparts transition into fall, it's telling to see what they're wearing. I view it as a virtual peek into our fashion future, and as far as I can tell, it's all about a long dress, AKA, "the midaxi." These fresh shin-grazing gems are being worn on their own as well as over jeans. I'd like to get ahead of this trend with any of these lovelies from Topshop, Ganni, Kos Resort, Vilshenko and Mango (similar to above).

I'm thinking jumpsuits might just be THE answer this summer, giving me all the sexy, comfy, one-step-dressing practicality I could ask for. Some options I'm eyeing: this louche Faithfull striped one, above, this maxi lookalike Free People, this floral Willow & Clay, and this eyelet Talulah.

In my book, effortlessly chic tops are the ideal summer staples, because they go with everything from out-to-dinner jeans to a cute bikini (and then some!). The Mango cotton blouse, is a prime example, with its soft stripes and statement-making embroidered sleeves. I also like these standouts from Anthropologie,ALC, Joseph, Vince, Rixo London and Club Monaco.
