Last weekend my husband and I ventured to Sonoma County, where we glamped in a decked-out Airstream, trekked in a Redwood forest, dipped our toes in the Russian River, and sipped lots (and lots) of fine wine. The variable weather--toasty days, chilly nights--called for a carry-on packed with everything from a bikini to a down jacket! Somehow, I managed to get it all right, starting with the Doen dress, above, which I wore, post-forest hike to lunch at Stumptown, plus these perfectly stretchy, day-to-night Mother jeans, this floral winery-worthy H&M blouse, and these ready-for-action Isabel Marant sneakers. You've heard me sing their praises before but it turns out I'm far done on Doen! The cult LA-brand just set up a pop-up shop in Brentwood, and not surprisingly, everything is almost already sold out. (The store will be open through 4/18.) When I popped in earlier this week, I tried on the above cardigan--perfectly chunky, with the rare ability to top practically anything--but, alas, it was sold out in my size. Thankfully, I found one here. Other dreamy pieces I'd like to snap up: this floral maxi, this wrap dress, and this ruffled blouse.

When my car thermometer hit 95 degrees yesterday I thought it must surely be broken. But it wasn't! Forget spring--it feels like summer in LA! I'm not a fan of wearing gym clothes out of the gym, but this newly purchased Gucci-spirited sweatshirt is an exception, because it really does look stylish with jeans and surprisingly over a flowy dress. And I love the dressed-to-impress statement it makes when I show up at a Body By Simone class!
