swimsuit sightings
Tuesday, March 27
A beach chaise lounge in front of Be Tulum Hotel might just be the best place on earth for swimsuit shopping. When I was there a week ago, I witnessed an expertly curated assortment of stylish, right-now bikinis and one-pieces, thanks to other sunbathing hotel guests, and I even snapped up some on the spot. (Thank goodness for mobile shopping!) Among my favorites: this strappy swimsuit by For Love & Lemons (pictured above), this Tory Burch ruffled piece, this cut-out Jonthan Simkhai, this lace-up Frankies Bikinis, this eye-popping Diane Von Furstenberg, and this floral Becca. My bikini is by Blue Life (below) and is on sale!
silk slides
Monday, March 26
Last summer I borrowed a pair of silk slides from my mother, which I never returned and wore into the ground (i.e., with jeans, dresses, shorts, caftans, etc). Well, I just bought the replacement (and a pair for my mother, too)!

the belt way
Thursday, March 22
Clearly, spring has not arrived yet, with more snow blanketing the Northeast and rain storming in the west. To refresh my jacket weather style, I'm going to take cues from these pics and try belting the ones I have in rotation and perhaps just springing for one that's already cinched, like these lovelies from Massimo Dutti, (above), Maje, J.Crew, Iro, Joie, Saint Laurent and Rouje.

hued heels
Tuesday, March 13
My classic black Christian Louboutin pointy-toe stilettos have yet to fail me, but they'll be taking a breather for a bit while I rotate in some unexpectedly bold-hued heels this spring. Inspired by stylish European girls, who are stepping out in various rainbow colors, I'd like to take a leap (and punctuate my denim!) in any of these styles by Jimmy Choo, Sam Edelman, Steve Madden, Manolo Blahnik, and Gianvito Rossi.

slipping by
Thursday, March 8
My friends know that I'll happily whirl through multiple outfit changes per day, but there are (rare!) times when I just want to stay in my pajamas from sunrise to the next. For these occasions, I'm now thinking I might try this: throwing on an easy, breezy (read: nightgown-like) slip dress with a structured blazer and casual sandals. It's a look that's both sexy and sharp at once--and best of all comfortable. I could easy slip by in these dresses from Mango (above), Sincerely Jules, The Reformation, Tibi and Alexander Wang.
