boy boss
Thursday, April 10
He isn't always the easiest to please but the best boss I ever had sent me on a very important mission yesterday: get him Coachella-ready. While my eldest son was at school, I raced around Century City mall, trying on sunglasses for him, hunting down lightweight, short sleeve shirts, and overthinking the perfect length of shorts. I was fully in stylist mode, running store to store like it was Fashion Week prep. Of course, I couldn’t resist trying on a few things myself and picked up the slick H&M canvas jacket, above, (found in the men's department naturally), plus this and this, and sorted through the just-in spring collection (immediately below). I also spotted (below) the cute Steve Madden crochet sneakers, the do-it-all Zara wrap dress, this Madewell linen maxi (that will be challenging not to wear everyday come deep summer), these excellent Loro Piana dupes, this problem-solving hair clip, and this beaded Eres swimsuit.

summer market
Wednesday, April 9
Yes, the headlines are actually making me consider growing my own food, wondering whether my wardrobe can double as a retirement plan, and asking ChatGPT how to file for dual citizenship in Portugal. But amid all this financial flux, there’s one index that refuses to drop: my investment in a dreamy summer--along with a carefree line-up that looks reliably chic. Of course, it includes a diversified style portfolio: part high-yield (hi, Miu Miu and Prada), part high street (forever grateful for you, Mango), all fantasy (this beaded white bag too)! Also: the butter Cos cotton blazer, above, The Row-like red Roucha parka, the slinky white Sandro trousers, the Banana Republic peek-a-boo lace skirt, the Blithe crochet set, the floral applique Farm Rio dress, the lace Sandro mini and River Island stripes and ruffles.
work choices
Tuesday, April 8
Olympia Gayot's Instagram is the kind of feed that makes you want to rethink everything you’ve ever worn to work—and maybe your life choices while you're at it. Her outfits hit that perfect sweet spot between polished and cool, with a rotating lineup of pieces that are somehow both timeless and totally of-the-moment. Naturally, most of them are from J.Crew (she is the creative director), and many of her recent looks are now a glorious 40% off. But before you load up your cart with half the site (including her black slip dress, off-the-shoulder LBD, and laminated barn jacket), there’s one recurring detail that deserves a closer look: the flats. A single pair of sleek, minimal Loro Piana flats appears again and again (more sizes here)—paired with tailored pants, crisp skirts, relaxed dresses—and they are quietly anchoring the whole vibe. So now the question becomes: do we make the smart move and snag the J.Crew pieces on sale? Or go full splurge and invest in the power shoe of the season? Sorry to introduce a new crisis to your day... but you didn’t really want to be productive anyway, did you?

cosmic discounts
Monday, April 7
Texted my therapist this morning to ask if her other clients were also experiencing heightened sensitivity and an urgent need to spring-clean their lives. She said yes—her virtual sofa’s been booked solid with emergency sessions. Maybe it’s cosmic, maybe it’s collective burnout—or maybe it’s the sudden, almost spiritual need to purge and start fresh... perfectly timed with Shopbop’s biggest sale of the year (up to 25% off with the code STYLE)! The kind of sale that makes you want to clear out your closet, recalibrate your entire aesthetic, and reemerge with only things that feel right. Big feelings, big energy, big discounts! Highlights? The universally flattering Janessa Leone hat, above, these suede Vince (Miu Miu-ish) sneakers, this Ulla Johnson bikini, these mesh Staud ballerinas, this Clare V tote, this Ossa cell-phone wristlet, this Line & Dot cardigan, and this sleek Moon River smocked dress.Think of it as a reset, a reckoning—and, for me, a very full cart!

sunshine daydreams
Friday, April 4
There are certain moments that beg to be bottled—when the sun is warm enough to lull you poolside at Colombe d'Or, but not quite hot enough to stretch out on a chaise lounge. The air is laced with just enough orange blossom to make you pause mid-thought and drift toward an open window, breathing in spring properly. However, if you're anything like me, that’s when the rigorous mental gymnastics begin: plotting how to be in this exact spot come summer and packing my suitcase piece-by-piece with the kind of meticulous focus usually reserved for spreadsheets. While that moment can’t be bottled, it was captured—above and below—in the South of France, earlier this week. Merci beaucoup! Also very conveniently for me, Net-A-Porter just launched a tightly edited collection of summertime pieces that feel made for this exact kind of daydream—effortless, elegant, and ready for warm-weather wherever. So here's what is coming with: these embellished Gianvito Rossi embellished shoes, this puff-sleeved Aje perfection, this macrame and tulle Zimmermann, this statement-making Cult Gaia clutch, and this Farm Rio print skirt.
bonjour!
Wednesday, April 2
I posted a vibrant dispatch from the South of France via Instagram Stories—blue-chip galleries, a long lunch somewhere deeply, deliciously old-world, the kind of scene that should spark questions about truffle-laced dishes and charming art-filled hideaways. Instead? My DMs are a chorus of where’s your top from? It's H&M. Years old. But since that’s the discourse, I figured I’d share some fresh H&M finds—plus other chic scores—that you’ll no doubt be asked about in the near future: the summer in the South-of-France lace set, the (Chloe-like) twill jacket, the J.Crew organza silk dress, the knit Valentino clutch, this studded top by The Great, and this Roxanne Assoulin necklace. And for those actually curious about the food, art, and whereabouts, all will be revealed in this weekend’s Substack.
sezane season
Monday, March 31
Spring is typically the universe’s way of saying, Plot twist! Only, I've felt that way since January 7! Then throw in moving, a major solar eclipse, and let's just say things have been interesting. I'm not sure what's in the air, except transformation, and honestly, I’d like to be dressed for the occasion. Enter Sézane's spring lineup that accommodates my need for a sartorial security blanket (denim, always) while nudging me toward something fresh (florals, because, well, photosynthesis). Crisp jeans and a classic pinstriped blazer to keep me grounded and a vibrant print wrap skirt and matching top to remind me that change—like spring itself—can be beautiful. If the world is blooming, I might as well dress like it! I'm also finessing this and this!
