slip up
Friday, March 7
Get ready to bust out the lingerie. Or at the very least: the lace. At Paris' Fashion Week, Chloe's Fall 2025 show prominently featured intimate-inspired designs, sheer fabrics, seductive ruffles and slip-like Victorian-spirited nightgowns. Off the runway, attendees embraced the lingerie-as-outerwear trend, below, incorporating delicate fabrics and lingerie-inspired pieces into their ensembles. However, pulling off this trend requires grounding pieces: structured elements like tailored jackets, sharp trousers, and classic accessories that balance the softness of sheer fabrics and lace. These additions create contrast, ensuring the look remains polished and wearable beyond the runway. I love how Doen, second to last pic, combines a classic barn jacket with buttery silk satin shorts and masculine Proenza Schouler loafers and studded Khaite bag. Perfect styling! An impeccable (and well-priced) stand-in for all the lace Chloe right now: the about-to-sell-out And Other Stories maxi dress, below, this Jacques Wei lace-paneled top, this Journelle camisole (great under a blazer) and this 3.1 Phillip Lim lace skirt and t-shirt set (genius built-in styling).
a case of the blues

Chloe's highly sought-after puff-sleeve gathered cotton jacket, above is scheduled to ship next month (April 15 to be exact/order here or here). In the meantime, we can all work a blue jacket (see below this week in Paris) in this J.Crew, Massimo Dutti, and Reformation. Some puff-sleeve, high-neck vintage options: here, here and here.

closet case
Wednesday, March 5
Moving into a new closet isn't just about organizing clothes and accessories—it’s a chance to take stock of what I really love to wear. Yesterday, as I arranged shoes and hung up my clothes, I noticed a pattern: My go-to Jamie Haller loafers sit next to my sleek Prada slingbacks, revealing a mix of classic shapes with modern sensibility. My focus now is on building a wardrobe that's both functional and true to where I am now. This spring, I’m leaning into mules. Miu Miu’s Logo Slippers, above, strikes the balance between home-sweet-home comfort and Fashion Week-stylish. Right next to them: Khaite’s Mia T-strap, below, a pump that somehow makes polished but low effort look easy (more sizes here!).

laura's looks
Tuesday, March 4
During fashion month--a time when editors are dashing between four cities, back-to-back shows, and party-packed evenings--British Vogue's Laura Ingraham demonstrates that as long as your top half is properly covered, what you wear on the bottom may not be important. She pulls off the trick(s) with the Alexander McQueen denim jacket, above, (an on-sale version here), a cotton Gucci bomber (less expensive iterations here and here), and a Toteme leather shacket. As for the botttom part: she gets off easy with Adidas track pants and baggy Talia Byre trousers, above.
show stoppers
Monday, March 3
While there were plenty of captivating dresses on Oscar's red carpet last night (Emma Stone, Lupita Nyong'o, Selena Gomez), it's the new parade of dresses I'm seeing this morning that are truly stealing the show with their everyday elegance and versatility. Take the ruffled H&M, above, that I snatched up on Friday and plan to tuck into jeans until the weather warms up. Also compelling: the ready-to-go Reiss dress, this linen and lace Farm Rio, Courtney Grow's Etsy cover-up, below, this lace Norma Kamali stunner, this floral Isabel Marant, sandal-friendly sequined Cinq a Sept, and this Endless Rose strapless maxi.
milan-ing
Friday, February 28
On her way from seeing the Taj Mahal in India to skiing in Saas-Fee, Switzerland, my Hawaii-based bestie touched down in Milan—only to realize her luggage was lost. And while it's admittedly tough to feel too sorry for her (LOL), she’s now stranded in the fashion capital with nothing stylish to wear—during Milan Fashion Week, no less! I suggested a few effortless ways to blend in: a statement yellow beanie, like the one worn by fashion show attendee and stylist Viviana Volpicella, above? Or even more versatile (and forever wearable!) Prada's new collapsible sneakers, seen everywhere (also here). Fringe will fly in Milan (and back home) too: here (I have and LOVE) and here! Along with this skirt (similar to last pic), this, and this. Happy Friday!
hip, hip, hero
Thursday, February 27
This morning, I did two separate school runs—one for my kids and one for my niece (whose parents are out of town and whose school is across town)—and somehow, I feel like a hero. Maybe it’s because those three hours of crisscrossing the city were packed with multitasking: booking tickets to Austin for my kids’ volleyball tournament, catching up with a friend in Milan, and coordinating our move into a new rental home this weekend (yay!). While I was at it, I also sourced these hero-worthy finds: the Khaite statement cuff, above, the perfect sequined pointy-toe flats, below, from Emme Parsons (I actually LOVE the on-sale kitten heels too), these new H&M braided white jeans, the fashion-week-photogenic Carhartt jacket, and the cozy Toteme scarf knit.
