fast and furious
Monday, February 12
This weekend went by faster than a New York minute. It kicked off at Raf's, the buzziest boîte in town, with must-have milk buns and ended with a Maison Mayle bang in my already-overpacked suitcase (top and skirt, below). In between there was an epic dinner with Shop My at Torrisi (the zeppole and prosciutto!), a moment with the Governor of New York at Prabal Gurung's show and the best buttery croissants at La Cabra (the long line is worth it). Full disclosure: I relied on a stalwart support team to see me through the non-stop action, including the button-down Zara, above, the Jenni Kayne jacket-meets-top, below, all manner of Dorsey sparklers (earrings, bracelet and necklaces), my Khaite denim, and Sarah Wragge's Restore and Alkalize Greens supplements. My only regret: I wish I had worked these fresh-looking pleated Lou Lou Studio jeans, these simple yet sleek Toteme flats (everyone is wearing), these Bottega Veneta earrings (no, not the pair everyone is wearing), and this Cult Gaia crochet top (underneath a blazer). I will share all details and snaps in my Substack later this week!
new york, new clothes
Friday, February 9
Happy New York Fashion Week(end)! Typing this from The Bowery Hotel, a swarm of paparazzi outside, waiting for the celebs in residence, ready to pound the pavement in pretty much head-to-toe newness: a Jenni Kayne blazer (that's crazy comfortable and chic currently 20% off!), Dorsey necklace, layered with an evergreen Jenny Bird choker, Alex Mill (soon to launch and truly amazing) jeans and a Khaite denim jacket. I'll be sharing all the deets next week!

Boat shoes are back, thanks to Miu Miu's Spring 2024 collection. Anchored in the preppy spirit of Sperry's iconic Topsider ($109), the so-called leather moccasins look lived-in and stylishly retro and are already landing in Paris's Metro (last pic) and on lower-cost shores (Free People, below). I'm totally on board with Sperry's OG! P.S. Bass' version ($145) is already all sold out! Time to get on board!

I was thisclose to buying the Alaia ballet flats, above, but then I came across the pair from Anthropologie, below, for $160 and was like, hang on a minute! It comes in all the Alaia-approved colors, too! If I saved myself all that money, then I could treat myself instead to the eyelet H&M pajamas, below, that I would definitely not keep confined to the bedroom, new denim shorts from Zara to wear this spring, and the statement-making leather Johanna Ortiz top. I'm sure that's not it...
miami memo
Monday, February 5
The atmospheric river (think firehose-like rain) that's currently drenching Los Angeles is not dimming my memories of Miami's sunny skies last weekend. You can read all about where I ate, what I wore and where I will go next in my latest Substack, out now. Read it here! What I did not include is that next time I will bring this Johanna Ortiz leather halter top, this Solid and Striped dress, and Magda Burtrym slingbacks to look more like a local!

J.Crew's womenswear director Olympia Gayot has a remarkable knack for mixing and matching what she designs with high-end investment pieces--to the point where it's extremely hard to tell which is which! Her talents clearly influenced J.Crew's latest collection, rife with elegant, luxe-looking pleated trousers, midi satin pleated skirts (hello, Prada), the funnel-neck jacket, below, pearl-studded jeans (last pic), this croc-embossed belt, and this sweater blazer.
