While half-asleep and sleuthing why the power had gone out all night in Santa Monica Canyon, I stumbled across something slightly more intriguing than downed lines or blown transformers: AccuWeather’s latest fall forecast is calling for a warmer-than-average fall, with temps lingering 2–3 degrees above normal well into the season. And just like that, a silver lining emerged—transitional dressing is getting a longer runway. Think trench coats, lightweight knits, and those in-between pieces that shine when it’s not quite hot, not quite cold. Total justification for the wrap scarf Pixie Market trench, $269, pictured two ways, along with Banana Republic's peekaboo cowl-neck tunic, below, this (already-bestselling) made-for-layering bandana scarf from The Great, this super pretty beach-to-street paisley Rosewater blouse, faux fur By Malene Birger, and the Sandro leather-collar jacket (both below).

Not only did I love reuniting with longtime friends at the Roz event I hosted yesterday in Sag Harbor, I also enjoyed the chance to make some new ones—and quietly take in their style. What struck me most? How refreshingly un-algorithmic everyone looked. In a moment where Instagram’s fashion filter seems to have ironed out individuality in favor of a homogenous uniform, this particular nook of Eastern Long Island felt like a breath of chic, fresh air. Each guest brought their own flavor—personal and totally distinct (i.e., AYR's not-your-average white button down, pink High Sport pants, G Label sundresses, Sir stripes). Speaking of distinct, I am obsessed with Yan Yan Chan’s summer wardrobe. The model and aspiring actress, originally from Australia and now based in New York, has that rare ability to pull off both city and beach looks without leaning too hard in either direction. There’s an ease to the way she dresses that feels equal parts intentional and undone. Her outfits have made me rethink a few things in my own closet—or at least reconsider how I’m wearing them. Low-slung belts over skirts and dresses? Suddenly essential. A preppy blazer teamed with a denim mini? Feels right. She's big on contrasts: neutrals with pops of color, sporty with delicate, sharp with soft. There’s nothing precious about it, but it still feels elevated. I want to add some Yan Yan to my everyday mix: the pink striped Matteau top, above, a lace-trimmed slip skirt, a big Polo Ralph Lauren tote bag, and sleek (cuffable) jeans.

This first weekend of August in The Hamptons ushered in some crisp September air--and I was ready for it with a few of Doen's cutest pre-fall pieces: the scarf top, above, and this lace-trimmed skirt. Highly recommend you check out the newest drop before it all disappears (LOVE this dress, too!)

Summer travels are still going strong. I'm milking every hot, sunny, lobster-roll-filled moment. Somehow I've consumed more crustaceans than I thought was humanly possible, clocked quality time with family, and managed to look (mostly) cute throughout (above and below in my Farm Rio, AnthropologieAdina Reyter and Thatch). I've squeezed in a little work too, contributing to Tory Burch's Substack and sharing my carry-on MVPs, jet lag strategies, and travel non-negotiables. You can read the full feature here. Speaking of Tory: I’ll be wearing this new Tory Burch asymmetric skirt and blouse set today to the ROZ event I’m hosting at GOOP in Sag Harbor, from 2–5PM. If you’re in the area, pop by! We’ll have beauty treatments, free product, and good vibes only.

That particular kind of piece we all quietly covet--the one that looks far more expensive than it is, carries that quiet designer energy, and resists easy identification? This is it. A jacket that could be Prada. Or Marni? Or maybe even vintage Miu Miu? I’ve gathered a few of those rare finds today — elevated, elusive, and surprisingly accessible. The kind that gets mistaken for something twice (or three times) the price: the Gucci-ish tote ($16!), below, this Farm Rio dress (reminds me of this), and this Siedres coat.

For me, the thrill of the hunt is half the fun. That moment when I spot the thing—the under-$50 gem that looks like a million bucks. The why-is-this-not-sold-out-yet shoe. The wear-it-every-day blazer that no one else has clocked yet. But the other half? Sharing the spoils with you. That’s what LE CATCH was founded on: the thrill, the discovery, and the quiet confidence that, yes, you can show up to a swanky soirée in something that cost $50 and still look like a total knockout. So, I’m especially excited to share a new tool for the treasure hunt: All my links will now automatically populate/can be found (forever more) on Shopmy's Storefront. Read: you can see all MY links in once place. Another tab for your shopping pleasure: Circles lets you shop through curated groups of trusted tastemakers—think of it as building your own stylish inner circle of fashion editors, insiders, and in-the-know friends--or personal boutique. Instead of being swallowed by algorithmically-served picks, Circles is guided by people whose taste you actually trust. You can create your own custom Circles--include mine, please, which Shop My named, "Our Most Trusted Curators" and "California Curators." It's shopping by way of community, not code. Everything is organized beautifully, so you can wishlist and save your favorites from all your trusted sources in one place. And since decision fatigue is real, the platform also highlights the most popular picks across the community, so you can quickly spot what’s trending, what’s working, and what’s worth clicking add to cart. Please follow me for access to all my shopping links, IG posts, outfit collages, inspo and more. Thank you!

American Airlines just pinged me that I'll be landing in New York just as the heatwave breaks—with thunderclaps and pouring rain to prove the point. (Okay, they may have stated this a little less eloquently, but you can read between the lines: delays?) At least I’ll know what to wear. Unlike a few weeks from now, when a trickier kind of weather rolls in: fall on top, summer on bottom. Or is it the other way around? Either way, Zara and H&M seem to be ahead of the curve, helping us dress for the inevitable in-between, with its just-out collections. I already stocked up, springing for the suede jacket, above, (I have an asymmetrical Tory Burch skirt en route to my doorstep that looks similar to above, but I think way chicer), and the red sandals. Now pondering the H&M denim jacket and lace skirt, below, the Mayle Vasquez fringed dress and these crazy pearl studded jeans.

wave hi to fall

Now that we’ve successfully sidestepped a tsunami (phew!), it feels only right to focus on something far less stressful—like fashion. A quick trip to the Apple Store at the mall yesterday turned into a full-blown browse-a-thon. I found myself drifting in and out of shops, where knits were already making a strong appearance—and everywhere, autumn shades of brown and orange. Fall is clearly creeping in, and it’s not even August yet! So what does a summer-loving girl to do? This morning, I turned to Net-A-Porter’s Pre-Fall Edit—a stellar, makes-sense selection that's prepping me (stylishly, sensibly) for the chillier, shorter-day reality ahead. It’s full of pieces that don’t scream "summer's over" but whisper "it’s okay to layer again." Think soft tailoring, rich color palettes, and transitional staples that work just as well now as they will in October. There are major pieces like this Loewe peplum jacket, this brown suede Roheskirt, and the tasseled Isabel Marant bag, above, that will temper the sting of a 50-degree day. But also everyday essentials that will keep one beach bum moving forward till spring: these Aeyde suede ballet flats, this Kallmeyer chiffon skirt, and these most excellent TWP wide-leg pants. Check it out for yourself here.

At a baby shower the other day, a friend I hadn’t seen in ages paused mid-chat, took a sip of her wine, and said, “You do beach well.” I smiled and said what I always do when I hear that (because, yes, it’s not the first time): Who doesn’t? I mean, the beach requires very little clothing. Says the girl who owns more bikinis than underwear. (Guilty. Proud.) And because I can never have too many, I just added one more to my collection: the black Cynthia Rowley stunner below. Equal parts classic and statement-making—it’s poised for its Hamptons debut this coming weekend. Also making a comeback are my favorite styling extras: Chan Luu sarongs, and sheer lace (Doen below), this new lace cover-up and Dolce-looking mini, these Posse gingham shorts, this embellished see-through J.Crew top, the Le Bop top and skirt set, this Topshop open-stitch wrap dress, this cinched Asos t-shirt (in white and black!) and these new sunnies!
