in the bag
Wednesday, November 1
I was on a successful super-baggy-jeans-wearing streak--until my teenage boys found out I was borrowing theirs. Somehow, they have curated a stockpile that nails the baggy to becoming ratio–at least for me! Now, I have to get some of my own. I love the Maison Margiela, above, but not so much the big price tag, so right now I have a pair of Levi's 501 90's jeans, sized up 3x, en route, but I also like these by Slvrlake because the dark denim reads polished. These mid-rise Triarchy also look everyday-promising as do these by Citizens of Humanity, Goldsign (trouser-like!), and AGOLDE. At least I already know exactly what I'll be wearing them with. Sea cardigan below!

Wednesday, November 1
November 1 is not only the day after Halloween and National Cook for Your Pets Day (no joke!), it's also, in my calendar, the kick-off to holiday shopping season! How fortuitous then that I came across UK-based Lily & Bean's monogrammed bags. The vintage trunk-inspired suitcase, for $375 above, can be personalized in at least 576 different ways (according to my son's math!), with over 48 different colored stripes to choose from. (Talk about analysis paralysis!) Also compelling is the denim and chain link tote bag and duffle weekender, $235. The small leather goods also make for good stocking stuffers. See the breadth of options here!
be my guest
Tuesday, October 31
There I was innocently sipping an oat cappuccino at Michaeli (and, okay, scarfing a chocolate rugelach) in Dimes Square when a beautiful woman strolled by wearing a striking oversized sweater and plum-colored leather skirt. All of a sudden, I transformed into a stalker. I ran after her to find out what she was wearing. It was this Max Mara faux leather skirt (for $285!) and this Guest in Residencecashmere sweater. She went on to tell me how she's stocking up on Guest in Residence for winter (and now so am I including the above) because they look dressed but not. In other words, the pinnacle of cool! More to come on my NYC trip and discoveries later this week on my Substack. Subscribe here!

season tickets
Monday, October 30
My fall weekend in New York City included summer-like sunshine on Saturday, sideways rain on Sunday and new low-slung, Dimes Square-sanctioned jeans that finessed both days! Said jeans by Citizens of Humanity are now on sale at Shopbop, along with a slew of other key silhouettes of the season (and potential holiday gifts!) at 40% off, including these Schutz knee-high boots ($166!), this Avec Les Filles bomber jacket, these Saint Laurent sunglasses, this Anine Bing leather blazer, and the Ulla Johnson party dress, below. Check out all the epicness here.
collab-orama
Friday, October 27
Some cool (and nicely-priced) collaborations to put on your radar: London-based Claire Rose teamed up with Na-Kd to create a line of fall-chic staples, while Anouk Yve nails this season's scarf jacket and then some in her collab (three pics below) with By Malina. In a limited edition capsule collection, designer Peter Do leverages Banana Republic's iconic silhouettes with refined tailoring. Case in point: the wool top coat with removable shearling. Also, make sure to mark your calendar for the debut of Rabanne x H&M on November 9, featuring signature shimmering disco-cool designs (last pic) and lush homewares.

singles match
Thursday, October 26
Singles' Day, the world's largest shopping day of the year (bigger than Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined!), occurs on 11/11, but 24S is offering a head start today on what might just be the best sale I've ever encountered! Use code Single25 to save 25% on $250+ and Single30 on $1000+. Seriously, what's on offer rarely, if ever, goes on sale! Take for example, the sold-out everywhere Miu Miu multi-strap slingbacks that everyone wore during Paris Fashion Week, above, the Khaite bucket bag, fringed Stella McCartney bag, and the Miu Miu wallet, below. Also epic: the prettiest Farm Rio, below, this tweed Sessun coat, this forever-polished Anine Bing jacket, this party-ready Khaite sweater, and this tulle Prada skirt. Shop the incredibly well-stocked sale here!

leka's looks
Wednesday, October 25
I woke up in Eastern Europe this morning, following influencer Leka Mikadze around her native Georgia, taking in the sights and falling for her statement-making outerwear! She drums up drama in oversized jackets and tactile layers. My favorites include her Frankie Shop leather jacket, above, her extra-big blazer and shearling vest ($119!), below. She also has this, this and this in her cool mix. I'd also like to have a pair of signature Celine Triomphe sunglasses in every shade.
