the cure
Wednesday, November 29
Denim on denim sounds easy. Personally, I find it tricky to execute, because I want to the combo to look seamless, yet not too matchy-matchy. Furthermore, I struggle with the combination of shades, and which washes work best. Well, Haikure is here to save my denim days, using sustainably-crafted, organic denim, to boot, with the one-and-one jumpsuit, above (also here). The Italian line also excels in perfectly-cut wide-leg white jeans and shorts, below.
ping me
Tuesday, November 28
My phone pinged as soon as I hit sea level. I was sweaty from my hour-long hike, buzzing with endorphins. One of my best friends had messaged me. Not let's get coffee and catch up. Not how are you. Not even hi. It was just a link to an inexpensive yet very Le Catch-looking jacket. The subtext was: "Should I buy?" I am well versed in this type of shorthand/correspondence. In fact, I kind of think it's cool that I can communicate with my nearest and dearest without actually saying or writing a single word. And I love that my friend who, truth be told, can afford a jacket with multiple zeros on the price tag, enjoys the thrill of the hunt--a lot like me. Speaking of thrills, I found some options to share with you today that are not Black Friday/Cyber Monday material of yore. These are year round-affordable pieces that elevate everyday dressing (my favorite kind). Take for example, the H&M jacket, above that goes hand in hand with an Hermes Kelly bag, no problemo! Then there is Jeffrey Campbell's take on Alaia's bound-to-sell-out mesh and leather boot, Mango's crystal studded top, and H&M lace shirt and tuxedo jacket. Feel free to ping me anytime!
brace for it
Monday, November 27
My 14-year-old has been looking forward to this day for approximately two years and four months, not because it's Cyber Monday, but because today he gets his braces off! Hooray! While he is currently in the hands of the orthodontist, I am in the waiting room, eagerly awaiting his straight-teeth smile and biding the time, Cyber Monday-ing here (edited!), here, here (OMG La Double J, Zimmermann, Ulla!), here (50% off!) and here (Prada, Stella, Dries, etc). Here's what I want to pounce on so far: the Simkhai dress, above, in black for 25% off, this highly-coveted bag by The Row (30% off!), this leather Reformation blazer, this Dolce & Gabanna swimsuit, this lace-trimmed Zimmermann shirt, these Chloe suede boots, this Ulla Johnson dress, this classic leather Marni bag, and these Loeffler Randall knee-high boots. Brace yourself!
fine accommodations
Wednesday, November 22
This week I've been living in an old pair of extra stretchy jeans by Mother that have not only accommodated extra helpings of baked brie, pigs in a blanket and pumpkin pie, but also a slew of do-it-all tops such this KMJ blouse, this Sezanne sweater and this English Factory. I'd like to add to my bag of tricks: the pajama-turned-blouse Sleeper, above, some stripes, below, and the red And Other Stories, last pic. Plus, these on Black Friday sale by Simkhai, Zimmermann and Donni. Happy Thanksgiving!

turkey trot
Tuesday, November 21
I do know how to cook a turkey but I am no expert, unlike my friend Olivia Muniak, above, an LA-based chef who designs fashionable food-centric events. Not only does she know how to dress a turkey (recipe here) but she knows how to dress for days (and daze) on the go. Her latest secret weapon, the J.Crew cardigan, above, is borrowed from the boys and on Black-Friday sale. Meanwhile, I've been working the leather Veronica Beard reversible jacket lately, below (also here), which instantly elevates denim (and finesses dinner out at Gigi's). Okay, my Prada slingbacks, help too. Additional outfit-spicing ingredients I could use right now that happen to be on sale: this forever-keeper Chloe dress (40% off!), this bow-trimmed Joseph blouse, this Altuzarra leather midi skirt, these Khaite loafers, this Alanui fringed cardigan (50% off), this Ulla Johnson halter dress and this sequin Emilia Wickstead stunner.
let the games begin
Monday, November 20
It's Monday before Thanksgiving, but it actually feels more like Black Friday, thanks to Shopbop's just-launched 25%-off sale, chock full of (street-style) chicness. Highlights include Linh Niller Skvortsova 's ALC mini skirt, above, and Lindsay Weiss' Citizens of Humanity jeans, below. Also zesty (as my 14-year-old would say): these Loeffler Randall knee-high boots, these Staud pleated trousers, this Velvet puffer jacket, these Mother jeans, and these elegantly versatile Sam Edelman pumps. Shop--and save 25%--here!

pre-bake
Friday, November 17
I don't have a lick of Thanksgiving food in my fridge yet, but I can already indulge myself in 24S Black Friday sale TODAY--kicking off one week early--offering 30% off full priced styles (use the code BLACKFRIDAY30. I'm eyeing decadent dresses from Zimmerman, including the lovely lace above, the never-goes-on-sale Miu Miu, below, these Isabel Marant boots (my sis has them and somehow they make her legs look longer and leaner, I swear!), these Valentino rock stud sandals, this do-it-all Anine Bing blazer and this sleek Khaite dress. Help yourself to more treats here!

Waze and an Uber whisked me across the 405 in the pelting rain last night for a San Vicente Bungalows dinner at with Metier's designer Melissa Morris, but my one-and-done Chloe cardigan also greased the (GRWM) wheels--stylishly fast. It's key to have these instant-glam pieces to wield at a moment's notice, and I wrote about some of the latest and greatest in my most recent Substack, but last night reminded me that a sole statement top can go a long (bumper to bumper along Sunset Boulevard) way. Plus, when you're sitting at a dinner table, what's on top is what's on tap! Some prime examples: Jen Azoulay's Aligne blouse, above, and Angie Smith's mesh Free People top, below. I'd like to make my own statement in this Simkhai sweater, this embellished Veronica Beard, and this lacy Aknvas. P.S. There are tons of terrific options at 30% off at Matches just-launched sale.
