big on blooms
Friday, October 6
Among the prettiest bunch of flowers I've seen lately are abloom on Blanca Miro's jacket, above. I found copycats of her Chanel camellia brooches here for $16. Speaking of blossoms, I'm loving the Prada-like floral applique Anthropologie blouse ($150), below, and my beautiful inside-and-out friend Alessandra Codinha's recently-launched collaboration with Anastasio Home, featuring the most striking marble vases and bowls, designed to hold what she calls "an explosion of flowers." They are statement making and forever-lasting. More flower power via this party-ready Rodarte dress, these Prada ballerinas, and this Rhode embroidered fleece pullover. Happy weekend!
bold and blingy
Friday, October 6
Most people save their blingiest, brightest baubles for big occassions. Not me. I love the unexpected yet spell-binding mix of statement jewelry and everyday-simple silhouettes. The counter-intuitive combo looks glamorously thrown together--chic, not chichi, if you know what I mean. Dorsey's new collection of super sparkly lab-grown diamond earrings are designed to straddle the fancy/casual gap (and not break the bank!), with these gorgeous pics proving that bright baubles need not wait for a party to get out and play. Just the opposite: they deserve even more airtime, particularly the emerald lovelies, above, the cushion-cut white sapphire drop earrings, below, and the gorgeous oversized white sapphire earrings, last pic. Check out the dazzling (bound-to-sell-out-as-usual) collection here.
phone home
Thursday, October 5
My propensity to misplace my phone is apparently written in the stars: 16.7% of phone losers are Geminis while four other signs--Libra, Scorpio and Pisces and Cancer--are also popular within the group. I'm a Libra, and so, for my upcoming birthday, I am going to remedy this annoying habit and look stylishly while doing so, with Ossa's cute phone wrist strap (similar to above) AND cross-body strap, below. These options from Casetify are also super cool. Wish me luck!

I'm not letting Chanel's Spring 2024 collection of "real clothes,"--striped polo sweaters, slouchy caftans, head-to-toe denim, and everyday-wearable flat shoes--fool me into believing I can afford all of them, but I am buying into the line-up's casually-chic style right now via some deep V-striped knits like this and this, loaded up with strands of pearls (or this and this!), patent leather flip flops, sequin ballerinas, creamy leather, and white Mary Janes. Also in the spirit: this striped sequin And Other Stories, this quilted leather Muuba jacket, these loose-fitting straight-leg Re/Done jeans (similar to below) and this very Coco-spirited sequin cardigan from Self-Portrait.
Other beautiful basics straight from the boulevards of Paris: the perfect white t-shirt and tank top, both below, to wear with everything from trousers to skirts to jeans.

As my twin sister is wont to do after weeks apart, she arrived at my house the other day with a bag of new clothes for me to try on, just so she could see what it actually looks like on her. Yes, it's a twin thing. Not only did she approve of the new pieces on me, all by Unsubscribed, but I did, too--and immediately procured some for myself, including the full-leg Unsubscribed leather pants, above, the hefty collared cashmere sweater, below, and the skirt set, which she was happy to model herself, last pic, with my knee-high boots. Check out more new Unsubscribed goodies here!
barn party
Tuesday, October 3
The oversized barn jackets that paraded down Prada's Spring 2024 runway has already harvested a plum iteration in my wardrobe via a vintage Carhartt I scored at the Santa Monica flea market this past weekend. I love the idea of juxtaposing it with more feminine, fanciful, and even sheer silhouettes. Join the barn party here. Other options from Uniqlo, J.Crew and Wyeth.
