I felt the sting of Topshop's demise all over again when I was in London last week, missing what felt like bank robbery raids on its Oxford Circus flagship. But now that I'm back stateside, I just discovered a loot of new Topshop dresses at Nordstrom that remind me why I was once such a hard-core devotee. The cut-out flowy dress, above, is the essence of effortless summer style (there's also a floral print version). Same goes for the black and white maxi and lace long-sleeved lovely, below, which I'd wear without the slip and over a suit!

sandals and ponytails
Wednesday, June 28
To attend Paris' Couture shows, you need not only deep pockets, but a deftness for taking clothing that's everyday practical and making it opulently posh. This year, fashion insiders like Lauren Santo Domingo and Jeanne Damas, both pictured below, are strutting to shows in simple strappy sandals that beautifully go with everything from sculptural dresses (like LSD's Toteme) to mini wrap skirts to straight-leg jeans. I like these lace-up Schutz and The Row, these metallic neutrals from The Reformation, these kitten-heeled Senso, and these flat and simple Anine Bing and TKEES. P.S.: A long ponytail also makes for a powerfully chic accessory, as proven here!

suspended reality
Tuesday, June 27
Lucy William's vacay posts from Pantelleria just derailed my post-vacation re-entry progress. I'm no longer in LA, but suspended somewhere in a late-lunching, sun-kissing reality, where I believe I need at my ready a sexy crochet dress like this or the one, above, and the Acne Studios statement skirt, below, pronto!
yse beauty
Tuesday, June 27
Taking a picture standing next to a super model isn't the best thing for your ego, but it certainly helps when said super model shares her beauty products with you! My friend Molly Sims recently launched her own line of skin care called YSE Beauty (pronounced WISE), a years-in-the-making, clinically-proven collection of clean, anti-aging products, all inspired by her inveterate (in-front-of-the-camera) experience. A few weeks ago, Molly asked me and a few other dear friends to flaunt the glow-inducing effects of her latest skin heroes: Vacation Glow highlighter stick, Skin Glow, a SPF30 Primer and Liquid Glow Body Oil, which I have slathered on in every single shot here--and now continue to do every day post-shoot! The luxe body oil deeply nourishes and delicately scents, with Grapeseed Oil, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, and Vitamin E, all of which lock in moisture and yield a super model-bright glow (or like I just returned from a month-long holiday in Puglia!) I've also been using YSE's Brightening Essentials day and night for the last two months and I have to tell you now in all seriousness that I am feeling more game than ever to take a picture with a super model!
I love london
Monday, June 26
I soaked up the sun and then some in London last week! My carry-on full of clothes saw me through the most delicious lunches at Barrfina (the mojama!) and The Pelican (the chips!) and sublime dinners at The Twenty Two (the hottest spot in town) and Mark's Club (intimately chic), plus a jaunt to Daylesford and The Royal Ascot (in the Royal Enclosure, no less!). What did I pack? A high concentration of day-to-night Maison Mayle, including the print skirt and lace blouse, above. I also brought this Ferragamo denim dress, this sequin Frankie Shop, this Hill House Home and this Pixie Market stunner. And I capped it all off with the below H&M dress and Arket denim jacket for my last dinner out at Dinings SW3 (seriously yummy Izayaka style fusion cuisine and sushi). For more pics, check out my Instagram highlights.

stepping up

Hailey Bieber's fondness for sneakers has given way to more fashion-forward flats, namely the versatile Saint Laurent slingbacks, above and below, which work with everything from a slinky slip dress to boyfriend jeans and an oversized leather jacket. For day, she steps up in The Row's fisherman sandals. I think I may follow in her footsteps!
