New York’s Fall ’26 runways is delivering fresh styling hacks that will wake up the wardrobe staples already hanging in my closet. I’m especially taken with the return of the and the tougher leather utility versions slouched over coats, dresses and knits alike. (It seems like everyone is gravitating toward .) Add to that the playful punctuation of charms clipped to belt loops and zippers (i.e., , below) and (love the color) peeking out under sweaters and jackets (mine is by beneath my jacket, above, but this ) and suddenly familiar pieces feel new. P.S. At , below, those crisp Peter Pan collars— and the irresistible sardine brooches (has a cute inexpensive necklace version)—reminded me how a small flourish can shift an entire look. I am going to get my fill now with this round collar . Also eyeing this leather cloche, this very (below, $48, and in almost sold-out too), this leather peplum, this tie-on (last pic), and this shantung belt. All easy updates. All things we can start doing now. And honestly, that’s when fashion is at its best — when inspiration walks off the runway and straight into real life.
