My frothy tulle dress totally missed the mark at a neighborhood holiday party the other night. I would have not felt so self-conscious had it not been for an impeccably chic friend who opted to wear what I should have worn: crisp jeans with an unerringly elegant boucle jacket. She reminded me of boucle's virtues--its day-to-night wearability, how it instantly elevates and endures season after season. Plus, she inspired me to add bits more to my wardrobe.
