Amsterdam in October has a mood—a very specific damp, grey, low-ceiling kind of mood that makes you feel like you’re living inside a Vermeer painting… if Vermeer had a thing for puffers. Sadly, my current look is reading more Michelin Man Visits the Rijksmuseum than Girl with a Pearl Earring. I packed a rotation of jackets to stack and shuffle depending on how dramatic the clouds decide to be: a Nour Hammour leather jacket (which my sister already stole from me), a Donni chino jacket (above, the satin blue collar and cuffs add such a good pop), a tie-neck checked jacket by Cos, below (I also love the Favorite Daughter version) , and a lightweight trench (a surprisingly chic combo when you’re dodging bikes and puddles).
