I flew back east this weekend for my husband's college reunion, where, along with the beer drinking, reminiscing, and marching in the P-rade, I sweated buckets in the humid, breeze-less, 88-degree (i.e., very un-California) weather. So while my husband caught up with his classmates, I sharpened my high-heat-index dressing skills. Next time I'm caught in steamy conditions, anything loose-fitting and white will be my best friend--not the form-fitting, high-waisted shorts or the long dark-hued dress I had packed! A hat with a wide brim, like , will be my go-to, and so will comfortable, barely-there sandals like or (on sale!). I'll also have pieces like this , this , this lightweight , this , and this at the ready--and I will be sure to have a jolly old time! Hip, hip, rah, rah, rah...
