get it before it's gone
get it before it's gone

She arrived late last night, two hours behind schedule, still trailing a little Manhattan snowstorm in her wake. You could almost see the frost lift off her as she stepped inside— new black boots, shearling scarf, this jacket (above)—pure New York chic, unfazed by the delay, jet lag-proof as always. My twin, Coco, fresh from back East, carrying that brisk, city energy that instantly recalibrates the room. We did what we always do and went straight into pressing subjects at hand: Christmas wish lists (below), gifts already bought, gifts still hidden: the Brinker & Eliza necklace, Ulla Johnson party-ready puff-sleeve and leather frocks (so much on sale too), Mango's studded sac, Lola Y Bimba's Jackson Hole-bound jacket and red Zara puffer, Belle Reve signet rings and Jamie Haller's white tux blouse perfection. The hours compressed the way they do with sisters, especially twins, especially when you live on opposite coasts. And then, just like that, she was gone again this morning—this time wrapped head to toe in my California winter clothes (jeans, a cute knit layered over this), off to a photo shoot 12 minutes away. She'll be back for dinner...
I want to share that my heart is with Brown University (my niece is a student there) and the Jewish community in the wake of this weekend’s shootings. I’m so sorry for the pain and fear we are all feeling.
