Now that I've watched The Social Dilemma, I'm pretty convinced that surveillance capitalism put --and her penchant for showboating baggy khakis--on my radar. Successfully lured in by her stylish Instagram feed (discovered via , I should add), I'm now in the market for some of my own sleek slacks to finesse. What I've found so far: these alluring pants from (I also LOVE these ones in !), above, , , and .

Though it's the dead of winter in Copenhagen, you'd never know it with all the sunny colors its stylish citizens are sporting (evidence here). Contending with only 7 hours of daylight in January, it makes perfect sense that the city would brighten up with, say... sunrise-orange pants, above! (I found a super cute cotton pair from , and the sweater can be snagged .) Other vibrant, winter-worthy options include this lilac jacket, this rosy feather clutch, these ochre trousers, this peppy ribbed sweater, this lemon-yellow cashmere sweater and these perfectly-white booties.

Spring bottled up in this fresh and pretty blouse! (I like to wear it unbuttoned with the tie and ruffles gorgeously cascading down the right sleeve.)

I've not given up yet... I'm still trying to execute on my new year's resolutions: take time for myself everyday, speak up even when I'm afraid to, and less procrastination/more action. In other words, wear the trousers in my life! And manifest this by actually wearing this season's must-have trousers: loose-fitting, high-waist, straight-leg, pleated Palazzo pants. I would happily zip around this winter in this (on sale!) cutie.

Aspen is on the horizon for me--along with its hot chocolates, truffle fries and yummy knits, just like this.

And just like that it feels like winter in LA. Time for my cold-weather pants to shine! They're statement-making, for sure, and they have just right heft and look-twice details. Sweaters and simple button-down blouses are their best friends--and together they crank up my everyday style several notches.
