My New York-based friend dragged me around Los Angeles the other day to help her find the perfect pair of trousers. The holy-grail criteria: perfectly loose-fitting, polished yet also casual, flattering, not too expensive and day-to-night worthy! Not surprisingly, we failed to find a pair that checked all the boxes that day, but, independently, I stayed on task and, thanks to ever-in-the-know Parisienne Leia Sfez, above, I just discovered 's trousers that not only fit the bill, but come in a variety of colors and ring in at less than $400. I snapped up this pair in that I might just wear every day this winter!

It used to be a summer wardrobe was not complete without white pants. But this season colorful pants are in order, at least for the fashionistas currently attending Copenhagens runways shows, pictured here. They're opting for pastel pink and yellow hues, which yield a warm, relaxed vibe, yet come off as a versatile neutral. There are some good options from , , , , (second to last pic) or , , and
This summer my denim shorts are skewing less Daisy Duke, more Olympia Gayot, head designer of J.Crew, above! They boast a high rise and a longer inseam, which lend a city-slick polish. Plus, this silhouette just looks new and fresh. Olympia is wearing this $79 pair from . I also like these iterations from, , and . P.S. If you're not into a longer denim short, I also adore the breezy, silk pair from , below. The excellent sandals, pictured, can be found .
I must confess that a summer pant doesn't roll off my tongue quite as naturally as a summer dress, but I know once I have the right pair, I will be a fluent wearer. I might even buy more than one! And I won't be alone. Parisian Leia Sfez, above, is inspiring me with her pleated trousers by , while Kaia Gerber, below, is running around in , which is making them in SEVEN different colors! Meanwhile, over in Europe, trousers (under $200), second to last snap below, are taking over the streets. Anouk Yve sports a super versatile pair by (last pic). I also love these by .
