The City of Light is twinkling with sequin skirts! Parisians are busting them out during the day, wearing them with more casual styles, such as oversized knit turtlenecks and leather jackets. The look is easy but glitzy and fabulously unexpected. I'd be ready to sparkle in any of these options by English Factory, Mango, Khaite, ALC, and Dries Van Noten (on sale!).

Evidently New York Fashion Week's non-negotiable is a knit skirt--both on and off the Fall 2023 runways. What's more, it's a no-brainer with a matching jumper, as Indre Rockefeller, above, flawlessly demonstrates. I like these styles from Cos, Joseph, Proenza Schouler, Loulou Studio, Co, and Zara.
I have loads of striped sweaters, but none quite as cute (the lace-up neck! the chunky collar!) as this one.

Not only do I love dining (and celeb-spotting) at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, but I relish the effortlessly chic dress code, too. This glamorous beaded sweater would fit in perfectly.

There's a whole lot of mini-skirt love happening right now. This summer staple is a big trend (again) but the hemline is higher. In other words: legs for days. To counterbalance the shortness of the skirt, I'd go with more coverage on top, whether it's an oversized button-down, a boyfriend blazer (I'm obsessed with this one for $70!), or a roomy t-shirt. Consider these styles from And Other Stories, J.Crew, The Reformation, and AGOLDE.

Prada just helped me empirically verify that my new skirt trend theory is correct. I initially noticed a high concentration of skirts on the New York runways (Altuzarra, Gabriella Hearst), then out and about on the streets in Milan (seen here) and now today at Prada's Fall 2022 show, in which there was a not a single pair of pants to be seen! So, naturally this means we need to start sourcing a few of our own show-stoppers that can be worn now through next fall and beyond. To be on trend, they need to fall below the knee and on the swingy side, like these by Vince, Nanushka, Alexander McQueen, Joseph and H&M.
